Since the March 16, 2026 update hit Seven Knights Re:Birth, the Arena meta has been completely shaken up. Reginleif and Radgrid steamroll opponents, new Legends debuted, and most old reroll guides feel outdated. Whether you’re new on iOS or Android, or just returning after a break, the real question is not “who’s S-tier on paper?” but “who should I funnel my limited resources into first?”
This list ranks around investment priority, balancing PvP climb, PvE clears (raids, towers, Magic Castle), and pull accessibility. I’m only spotlighting the dozen heroes and hero groups that consistently carried my own account—heroes you’ll actually build, not bench.
Rerolling is hugely overrated in Re:Birth. With codes, events, and free tickets, you’ll churn out summons. The smart play is knowing which Rares and Legendaries deserve your books, stones, and gear. That’s exactly what’s below.
Pulling Reginleif on rate-up basically unlocks “hard mode” for everyone else’s Arena teams. Post-March 16, she’s the rare S+ pick every serious PvP squad either runs or techs against. She blends oppressive crowd control, insane burst, and team utility—feels like tank, nuker, and support all in one Legendary package.
Slotting Reginleif boosted my mid-tier defense logs from “wipe” to “mostly green” overnight. She punishes greedy glass-cannon comps and gives slower, tankier teams breathing room. In PvE she’s not broken, but she waves clears and boss-kills reliably—never wasted. Even with nerf rumors swirling, she’s still the safest first investment: awaken her ASAP, gear her fully, and skill-up before almost anyone else.
Gear: Aim for Nilfheim Helm + Dharmic Earring for extra crowd control. Substats priority: Speed > Crit Chance > Defense. Awakening to ★4 unlocks key buffs; pushing to ★5 accelerates her cooldown reduction. Skill-up Priority: Max her 2nd skill (extended stun) first, then her ultimate for burst ceiling.
Pairs perfectly with Radgrid for back-to-back stuns. Works with Vanessa to survive rare anti-control comps. Tech Counters: high cleanse teams (Rosie + Vanessa) and speed-buff rush strategies. If you face too many cleansers, slip in an Alice for extra tempo and delay enemy turns.
Radgrid quietly wrecks opponents after the March patch. Universally an S+ PvP pick, she delivers relentless crowd control and bruiser damage so you can skimp on pure tanks. The synergy with Reginleif is absurd—two back-to-back lockdowns means enemy comps rarely see an opening.
My first test run: Reginleif → Ace → Rudy → Radgrid in that order, and enemy teams got caught in an endless stun loop while my damage ramped. PvE is less flashy but still valuable: Raid floors and tower waves fall faster, and she’s a safe multi-mode investment if you already own her rate-up copy.
Gear: Dharmic Shield + Runic Armor for sustain and defense break. Substats: Crit Chance > Defense > Health. Awaken to ★4 for cooldown cooldown advantage, then ★5 if you want full kit uptime. Skill-up: Max her 3rd skill for multi-wave stun, then her 2nd for cleave damage.
Lockdown dream team: Radgrid + Reginleif + Kagura for AoE damage spikes. Pairs with Ace for sustained bruising. Counters: teams running multiple cleanse units (Rosie/Vanessa) or speed rush comps can outrun her stun windows—slot in Kyrielle or Rudy to buy time.
Before Reginleif arrived, Ace was already a go-to S-tier pick—and he hasn’t lost his shine. He’s the poster child for a “safe investment”: stellar in PvP, reliable in PvE, and easy to feel on a fresh account. My first “real team” moment was Ace front-lining alongside Rachel and budget Rares, mowing through story stages that used to gape wide open on defense.
In Arena, Ace thrives in both hyper-aggro and midrange builds. Throw him behind Alice or Kagura and he turns into an unkillable damage engine. In PvE, he shifts from campaign to towers and into early raids with minimal setup—perfect hybrid value. Even if you have Reginleif or Radgrid, Ace remains a top 6-star target for new and veteran players alike.
Gear: Oni’s Staff + Imperial Gauntlets for raw damage. Substats: Crit Damage > Attack > Speed. Awakening to ★4 unlocks a key passive buff; ★5 faster CD is gravy. Skill-up: Prioritize maxing his basic skill (sustain DPS), then his ultimate for wave clear. He scales linearly, so stones and books go a long way.
Plays well with any support—Alice, Kagura, Rosie all unlock more damage. Frontline with Rudy or Kyrielle to keep him safe. Watch for heavy counter-burst comps (Reginleif + Radgrid) and slip in Vanessa for revival safety nets.
Yeonhee and Trude consistently show up on S-tier discussions, obliterating health bars wherever they go. Call them “main DPS” choices—Yeonhee for wide-wave wipes and Arena offense, Trude for single-target annihilation in raids and boss-focused PvP plays.
When I maxed Yeonhee, my Tower progression jumped five floors overnight—trash waves dropped in one combo. Trude’s single-target focus tore through raid bosses that my broader nukers struggled with. Both crave gear and buffs—Kagura or Vanessa works wonders—and they respond to proper protection from tanks like Rudy or Kyrielle.
Gear: Ashborne Spear + Righteous Talisman for Yeonhee; Flame Brand + Draconic Charm for Trude. Substats: Attack > Crit Chance > Crit Damage. Awaken to ★4 for huge skill boosts; ★5 pushes burst windows. Skill-up: Max their 1st skill for consistent damage, then ultimate for AoE/Singe-target finisher.
Yeonhee loves a tempo buffer (Alice) and defense-breaker (Rudy) to maximize her AoE. Trude pairs with Vanessa’s revive or Rudy’s taunt in boss fights. Countered by massive shields (Kyle, Platin) or burst-down comps—slot in anti-burst tanks or cleanse supports.
Flashy nukers grab headlines, but high-rank climbs hinge on reliable tanks and sustainers. Rudy and Kyrielle anchor late-game defenses: Rudy soaks hits and scales with gear; Kyrielle patches holes with heals and debuffs protection.
After February’s balance tweaks, Rudy climbed even higher as a plug-and-play wall. Kyrielle shines in drawn-out fights where chip damage would otherwise kill your glass-cannon carries. Swapping her in when I stalled in Arena let my Yeonhee actually cast. In raids and towers, that duo turns chaos into controlled battles you can grind through.
Rudy Gear: Ironclad Bulwark + Guardian Ring. Substats: Defense > Health > Speed. Awaken to ★4 for passive taunt, then ★5 if you want extra endurance. Skill-up: Max his 2nd skill (area taunt) first, then prolong his shield skill.
Kyrielle Gear: Ember Robe + Serenity Pendant. Substats: Health > Resistance > Speed. Awakening ★4 unlocks key heal boost; ★5 faster cooldown for bigger saves. Skill-up: Max heal-over-time skill, then her cleanse ultimate.
Use Rudy + Kyrielle as your shield line before slapping on Ace + Yeonhee/Trude. Works with Vanessa for secondary revive. Counters: heavy control comps can bypass Rudy’s taunt—slot in vanilla blocker like Miho or Daisy to disrupt CC chains.
Support heroes often feel “boring” on paper, but they’re the real engines behind every clutch win. Alice, Kagura, Rosie, and Vanessa form the core support quartet in endgame rosters—controlling tempo, buffing nukers, and keeping teams alive through chaos.
Alice hands you extra turns to chain combos, making it feel like your enemies never catch a breath. Kagura turns good nukers into overkill bombs. Rosie’s healing and cleansing stops chip-debuff snowballs. Vanessa punishes anti-control teams with revive and anti-stun tools. Build one or two to complement your core (usually Ace + a nuker + Rudy/Kyrielle) and level them high; that minor investment yields massive returns.
Alice Gear: Chronos Watch + Lunar Feather. Substats: Speed > Health > Crit Chance. Awaken ★4 for extra turn buff; ★5 for shorter cooldowns. Skill-up: Max turn boost skill first, then her AoE buff.
Kagura Gear: Zenith Fan + Blossom Charm. Substats: Crit Damage > Attack > Speed. Awakening ★4 unlocks key passive; ★5 cuts cooldown. Skill-up: Max her buff skill then AoE damage for more crits.
Rosie Gear: Divine Bowl + Purity Talisman. Substats: Health > Resistance > Speed. Awaken to ★4 for cleanse boost; ★5 for cooldown advantage. Skill-up: Max heal skill, then cleanse.
Vanessa Gear: Lightward Shield + Restoration Ring. Substats: Health > Defense > Speed. ★4 awakening for stronger revival; ★5 for lower cooldown. Skill-up: Max revive skill, then anti-control aura.
Slot Alice in hyper-aggro comps (Ace + Yeonhee). Kagura with Lv. 6 nukers for crit spikes. Rosie in stally, control-heavy Meta. Vanessa for anti-CC core alongside Reginleif. Counters: heavy cleanse teams can outlast supports—consider adding a second healer or control block hero for insurance.
Relying solely on PvP S+ picks leaves you hitting content walls—raid bosses and tower floors don’t care how strong your Arena badge is. That’s where Fai, Juri, and Teo come in: consistent S/A-tier PvE performers that speed your progression in raids, towers, and general clears.
Fai was my first raid-spike unit—raid health bars went from polite scratches to satisfying gouges. Juri melts priority targets in burst-window fights, making him irreplaceable in certain timed Tower gauntlets. Teo brings flexible damage and utility—he fits so many comps I built him on multiple accounts. Once you have your PvP core (tank, nuker, support), dump resources into one of these PvE workhorses to unlock gear and stones you’ll need for later Meta shifts.

Fai Gear: Elemental Blade + Whispering Charm. Substats: Attack > Crit Chance > Speed. Awaken ★4 for multi-hit bonus; ★5 for faster cooldown. Skill-up: Max multi-hit skill first, then single-target finisher.
Juri Gear: Thunder Whip + Arcane Ring. Substats: Crit Damage > Speed > Attack. ★4 awakens critical burst; ★5 lowers ultimate cooldown. Skill-up: Max his ultimate for boss windows, then his chain skill.
Teo Gear: Valkyrie Lance + Guardian Talisman. Substats: Attack > Health > Speed. Awaken to ★4 for AoE boost; ★5 for cooldown synergy. Skill-up: Max his buff-nuke hybrid skill, then support skill.
Fai pairs with defense breakers (Kyle) for raid windows. Juri needs tempo support (Alice) for his best burst. Teo works in budget teams—slot him in anywhere you need extra damage or minor control. Counters: high-resistance bosses reduce Juri’s damage—add defense breaks to compensate.
Not every PvE MVP flashes massive numbers. Kyle, Lina, Mercure, Platin, Rin, and Pascal bring utility—defense breaks, buffs, turn control—that make impossible stages trivial. I often hit a wall, then plug in one of these and watch the fight unfold.
Pascal’s PvE aura amplifies your main DPS so drastically some stages feel glitched. Lina’s buffs and shields patch gaps in late-tower waves. Mercure’s flexible kit slots into odd comps, bridging role shortages. Platin and Rin cover defense-breaker and sustain niches you didn’t know you needed. If you stall on a boss or floor, ask “Who from Kyle/Lina/Mercure/etc. can help?” Nine times out of ten you’ll breeze through.
Kyle Gear: Executioner’s Axe + Battle Talisman. Substats: Attack > Speed > Crit Chance. Awakening ★4 for defense break buff; ★5 for cooldown. Skill-up: Max his defense-break skill first, then his multi-hit.
Lina Gear: Mystic Tome + Imperial Cloak. Substats: Health > Resistance > Speed. ★4 awaken for buff potency; ★5 for shorter CD. Skill-up: Max buff skill, then heal skill.
Mercure Gear: Wanderer’s Staff + Arcane Band. Substats: Crit Chance > Attack > Speed. ★4 awakens utility; ★5 shorter CDs. Skill-up: Max her utility skill first.
Platin/Rin/Pascal follow similar patterns: unlock key utility at ★4, focus skill-up on defense breaks/buffs, then on secondary hits.
Use defense-breakers ahead of nukers for max damage. Buffers before heavy DPS windows. Counters: content with cleanse mechanics may neuter your defense breaks—slot an additional debuff or delay unit.
When generalists like Fai slow down, specialists like Daisy, Velika, and Miho step in. They spike in value for dedicated raid, tower, and Magic Castle runs, often turning one-shot floors into farmable content.
Daisy’s sustained DPS outpaces many “famous” heroes in long raid windows, especially with strong buffers. Velika controls wave composition and chews through heavy-def floors in towers. Miho is practically mandatory for Magic Castle puzzles tuned around her strengths. Don’t rush these on day one—but the moment you stall in a specific mode, pick the right specialist and pump resources—they’ll crush that wall.
Daisy Gear: Eternal Sword + Rampart Ring. Substats: Attack > Crit Chance > Speed. Awakening ★4 for DPS boost; ★5 for cooldown. Skill-up: Max sustained DPS skill, then multi-hit.
Velika Gear: Iron Fist + Warding Charm. Substats: Defense > Health > Speed. ★4 awakens wave control; ★5 faster cooldown. Skill-up: Max wave clear skill, then single-target slam.
Miho Gear: Spirit Bow + Vitality Talisman. Substats: Attack > Crit Chance > Health. ★4 awakened for castle clear ease; ★5 for CD. Skill-up: Max her trap/debuff skill, then her multi-target shot.
Daisy loves damage buffers (Kagura) and defense breakers (Kyle). Velika pairs with crowd-control tanks (Rudy). Miho needs survival supports (Rosie). Counters: if content rotates mechanics away from their specialties, pivot to another specialist or generalist.
Rerolling might feel mandatory, but Seven Knights Re:Birth throws Rares at you fast. Rachel, Orly, Rook, and Silvesta are the standouts who keep earning value long after you unlock your first Legendary.
Rachel is divisive—unplayable in top PvP but S+ in high-tier PvE once she hits T6. Orly quietly patches comp holes as a support. Rook is a tank that scales past the early game. Silvesta’s utility slots into nearly every farm team. On my “no reroll” alt, these four did more work than a lone shiny Legendary. Moral: play your drops, not a reroll spreadsheet.
Rachel Gear: Iron Cleaver + Scorching Eye. Substats: Health > Defense > Speed. Awakening to T6 (tier six) unlocks her real spike—grind duplicates. Skill-up: Push defense break and multi-hit.
Orly: Tempo staff + charm; focus on heal and buff skill-ups. Rook: Shield + armor; max taunt and block skills. Silvesta: Utility gear; max debuff skill then support skill.
Rachel on raid teams with defense breaks. Orly in budget comps while you wait on Legends. Rook as filler tank until you get Rudy. Silvesta in mixed PvE/PvP farm squads. Counters: top PvP comps with anti-heal or heavy burst will outpace Rachel and Rook—use them as side-liners.
Even if you strike out on Legendaries, A/S-tier Rares like Dellons, Eileene, Jave, Knox, Nia, and Pallanus deliver value without reroll stress. They’re common pulls you can build confidently and early.
Dellons carries early story and sneaks into PvP with buffs. Eileene’s control and support toolkit glues together budget squads. Jave and Knox double as off-tanks or bruisers. Nia covers flexible support slots, and Pallanus leapt from “maybe someday” to “must-build” after tweaks. Their availability+power ratio crushes mythical Legendaries you don’t own.
Dellons Gear: Spirit Blade + Astral Ring. Substats: Crit Chance > Attack > Speed. Awaken ★4 for bonus damage; ★5 for CD. Skill-up: Max main DPS skill, then buff skill.
Eileene: Control staff + defense break gear. Jave/Knox: armor and shield combo; prioritize taunt and bruiser hits. Nia: healer gear; max cleansing skill. Pallanus: attack gear; push his buff skill first, then AoE.
Use Dellons in mixed rare/legend teams. Eileene with glass-cannon carries to delay enemy turns. Jave/Knox frontlines for budget comps. Nia as a stand-in support for Alice/Kagura. Pallanus with AoE nukers. Counters: top Meta comps will eventually outscale them by late game—pivot to Legends once you have stones.
Every patch brings optimism and heartbreak. Right now, Bai Long, Guan Yu, Leo, Lucy, and Xiao sit in the PvP B-tier “handle with caution” zone. They aren’t useless—in PvE some find niche use—but they get outclassed in serious climbs.
I overspent on Leo early—his kit looked great, but he flopped against Ace/Rudy and now Reginleif/Radgrid cores. Bai Long and Guan Yu share that same fate: fun ideas, but not worth delaying proven carries. Use them if you love their style, but don’t let them derail your core builds.
If you love them anyway, gear for their strengths: Leo (crit build), Bai Long (defense break gear), Guan Yu (hybrid bruiser set), Lucy (speed build), Xiao (utility set). Max their most used skill first, then secondary. Keep stone investment low until they find a meta niche.
They can serve as side projects in fun-themed teams or farm squads. Counters: Meta-defining CC chains (Reginleif + Radgrid), high-burst leads, heavy shields. Keep an eye on balance patches—B-tier heroes can pop off with a buff or synergy shift, but treat them as “for fun” builds.
Seven Knights Re:Birth lets you waste months rerolling or win months by investing smart. If you have Reginleif/Radgrid, sink resources there first. Otherwise, Ace, Yeonhee/Trude, Rudy/Kyrielle, and trusty Rares like Rachel or Dellons form a bulletproof core. Layer in PvE specialists exactly when you hit walls, and watch your progression skyrocket.
Skip the reroll grind. Use this list as your build order, not a strict religion. Keep tabs on future patches, and double down on the heroes carrying your fights—even if a spreadsheet calls them only “A-tier.” That’s how you turn random pulls into a real team.
