4 Steam Giveaways and Discounts for the Week of October 11

Claim the two free games before spending on the sales. For the week of October 11, 2026, this checklist puts permanent free additions first, followed by two substantial discounts with different gameplay appeals. The yen prices below apply to Japan’s Steam store; other regions have their own prices.

1. Fireside Feelings — claim before October 12, 17:00 UTC

Fireside Feelings gets first priority because its free-to-keep offer has a precise cutoff. Team Empreintes’ cozy 2D game centers on conversations with real people around a campfire, with decorations to unlock for that shared space. Its appeal depends on enjoying conversation rather than chasing combat encounters or an elaborate progression system.

It has 96% positive Steam reviews and normally costs approximately $7.99 in the United States. The giveaway adds the full game permanently to your account; you do not need to download it before the promotion ends.

Open its Steam store page, select the free purchase or add-to-account option, and confirm that Fireside Feelings appears in your library. Finish that process before October 12, 2026, at 17:00 UTC.

2. Pony Island — claim before the regional cutoff

The reason to claim Pony Island is its hostile puzzle design. Daniel Mullins Games’ suspense game has a demon resisting the player, while logic puzzles ask you to rewrite program code. Its arcade-style presentation feeds into psychological horror and fourth-wall interference, making this the sharper choice for players who want something unsettling rather than relaxing.

Treat October 12 as the safe claim date. Deadline listings use October 12 and October 13; the Japanese cutoff of October 13 at 02:00 corresponds to October 12 at 17:00 UTC. Use the countdown on your Steam store page rather than assuming you have all of October 13.

Select Add to Account while the free offer is active, then check your library. Pony Island normally costs approximately $4.99 in the United States, and this promotion grants permanent ownership rather than access for a free weekend.

3. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii — 75% off

At ¥1,732 in Japan, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is the action-focused purchase here. Goro Majima leads this pirate-themed spin-off, with real-time combat built around switching between Mad Dog and Sea Dog styles. Building a pirate crew, sailing a ship and ship customization give the nautical premise room beyond the fights.

That combination earns it priority over Astroneer for players seeking character-led action and exploration. Players mainly interested in resource gathering and building should put the next entry ahead of it.

The 75% discount is a paid sale, not a giveaway. Check the price for the edition you intend to buy: the ¥1,732 listing should not be treated as the price of every edition or bundle. Its sale end date is not specified here, so the free-game deadlines do not apply to this purchase.

4. Astroneer — 75% off for a building-focused sandbox

Astroneer earns its place through terrain manipulation, modular base construction and facility automation. Resource collection and crafting support planetary exploration, giving players a practical reason to expand their infrastructure. Cooperative play adds the option of building and exploring with friends, though the sandbox also supports solo play.

The Japanese Steam price is ¥875 at 75% off, placing it near its lowest-price tier rather than establishing a new record low. Choose it over Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii if shaping terrain and developing production facilities sound more appealing than switching combat styles and commanding a pirate crew.

This is another ordinary paid discount with no sale end date specified here. Check Astroneer’s own Steam countdown before purchasing; neither free giveaway’s October cutoff establishes how long this price lasts.
