5 Of The Best 2020 TV Shows

The best 2020 TV shows have been vital in this weird year. 2020 has been a year like no other, a long year which most of us want to be over. Because of lockdown throughout the country, we have had a lot more time on our hands.

With the extended amount of time stuck at home, we had a chance to catch up with the latest tv programmes. 2020 has certainly given us some amazing series to watch that has filled our daytimes/evenings/weekends. Pretty much all our time, really.

Let’s take a look at a handful of the best TV shows from 2020.

His Dark Materials Season 2

His Dark Materials is so much better than its movie adaptation The Golden Compass. I loved the first series as that is similar to the way that The Golden Compass had ended. The first series focuses on Lyra learning the truth about her parents. However, this series follows Lyra on a journey to find out more about dust, along the way of making new friends, enemies and finding a boy who shares the same destiny.

I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for season 2. This show follows a young Indian girl living in the States who has to overcome the hardships of losing her father and becoming paralysed. Starting a new year Devi decides that she and her friends need to be rebranded. With a whole new look, Devi and her closest friends attempt to rid themselves of their embarrassing nickname UN and come up with a plan to get them all a boyfriend. A series filled with heartache, pain, arguments and drama. You may just become hooked.

The Good Place Season 4

The shows final episode aired at the start of the year. This programme is great for those who love dystopia. It follows adults who die in a place called the Good Place unaware and unsuspecting of the secrets it holds. It takes 4 adults to discover the truth and try and rectify the bad.

Doctor Who (Series 12)

A British series where an alien travels through time and space defending earth and other planets from extraterrestrial threats. There was a big surprise for fans this year at the end of the series as the Jadoon (police) appeared and arrested the Doctor. This has left unanswered questions of why and what’s going to happen next. It has me anticipating for the next series!
