The best 2020 TV shows have been vital in this weird year. 2020 has been a year like no other, a long year which most of us want to be over. Because of lockdown throughout the country, we have had a lot more time on our hands.

With the extended amount of time stuck at home, we had a chance to catch up with the latest tv programmes. 2020 has certainly given us some amazing series to watch that has filled our daytimes/evenings/weekends. Pretty much all our time, really.

Let’s take a look at a handful of the best TV shows from 2020.

His Dark Materials Season 2

His Dark Materials is so much better than its movie adaptation The Golden Compass. I loved the first series as that is similar to the way that The Golden Compass had ended. The first series focuses on Lyra learning the truth about her parents. However, this series follows Lyra on a journey to find out more about dust, along the way of making new friends, enemies and finding a boy who shares the same destiny.

Starting a new year Devi decides that she and her friends need to be rebranded. With a whole new look, Devi and her closest friends attempt to rid themselves of their embarrassing nickname UN and come up with a plan to get them all a boyfriend. A series filled with heartache, pain, arguments and drama. You may just become hooked.

Doctor Who (Series 12)

A British series where an alien travels through time and space defending earth and other planets from extraterrestrial threats.
