Three weeks is all that remains for players who want to use ARC Raiders’ current prestige-style reset system — and, crucially, Expedition 5 removes one of its most punishing demands. Quest progress is optional to reset when departing, so players can take the Expedition route without automatically wiping their active questline.
Embark Studios is stopping new Expeditions after this fifth run, which opens September 8 and closes September 29, 2026. There is no last-call period: registration must happen before the deadline, and any Caravan must be completed before departure on September 29. The break lasts until early 2027, with no precise return date announced.
The pause is more than a skipped seasonal cycle. Embark says it needs room for major improvements after feedback on tight departure windows, reward structure and the system’s accessibility for newer players. That makes Expedition 5 a practical stopping point for anyone who has been grinding resets solely to protect long-term gains. Consecutive Expedition buffs will persist through the hiatus, so earned stack-based advantages are not lost by sitting out.

There is also a limited safeguard for unfinished work. Partially completed Caravans will convert into Ermal Vouchers of equal value during the pause. Those vouchers can be spent on Ermal offers, ARC Parts and weapons-trade items, or sold for Coins. It is compensation for Caravan progress, not a promise that every form of Expedition progression will carry forward.
For players still committing to Expedition 5, the incentives include up to 12 additional stash spaces, reaching 60 total, and recovery of up to five previously missed skill points per run, within a 15-point cap. Players completing all Expeditions can earn the Zenith Outfit. Those skipping a quest reset keep their existing quest state, while Embark will provide another route to the normally quest-earned Hullcracker Blueprint.

Embark plans to outline the overhaul in September; the key test is whether early 2027 fixes the reset loop without stripping away its prestige rewards.
