Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced: Ultimate Ship Plans & Upgrade Path
To fully upgrade the Jackdaw in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, you must obtain 12 Ultimate Ship Plans, deliver each to a shipmaster, and pay a steep resource cost for the final-tier installation. Access to these plans is gated behind Sequence 6.
Step 1: Unlock the Diving Bell
Complete Sequence 6, “Diving for Medicine.” This unlocks the diving bell, which is mandatory for entering underwater shipwrecks. A portion of the 12 Ultimate Ship Plans are located inside these wrecks; until the sequence is finished, those sites cannot be looted.
Step 2: Collect the 12 Ultimate Ship Plans
The Ultimate Ship Plans are renamed Elite Ship Upgrades. They are distributed across two activity types: underwater wreck dives and buried treasure caches.
Underwater wreck plans: Sail to marked shipwreck zones and use the diving bell to reach the seafloor. The plans are stored in chests within the debris. Confirmed regions include Dry Tortuga and Long Bay.
Treasure map plans: The remaining plans are buried on land. Acquire the maps, follow the coordinates to islands such as Great Inagua, and dig at the marked locations. Each map points to a single buried chest containing one plan.
There is one plan for each ship subsystem. You must collect all 12 before every Jackdaw category can reach its final tier.

Step 3: Purchase Upgrades at a Shipmaster
Obtaining a plan does not automatically install the upgrade. Take each Ultimate Ship Plan to a shipmaster or harbourmaster. The plan unlocks the final tier for purchase, but you must also own all preceding tiers of that subsystem before the Ultimate option appears in the vendor list. Once the tier is visible, pay the required Reales, Metal, and Wood to install it.

Resource Costs
Final-tier upgrades are significantly more expensive than standard ones. As a reference point, installing the Ram IV requires 15,000 Reales, 200 Metal, and 600 Wood. Budget comparable amounts across the remaining categories. If you deliver a plan without the required materials, the upgrade will remain unavailable for purchase.
