Champions Tactics Ends October 30—What Ubisoft Players Can Still Do

ethan Smith·8/2/2026·3 min read
Ubisoft will permanently shut down Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles on October 30, 2026, leaving the PC tactics game unplayable.

There is no offline fallback for Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles. Its tactical battles, account progression, and remaining in-game activity depend on Ubisoft’s servers, so Champions and collections will no longer be usable in the game once service ends.

The closure completes a rapid retreat from the project’s original Web3 identity. Champions Tactics launched on PC in October 2024 as Ubisoft’s first Web3 game, then progressively removed blockchain functionality in May 2026 because of changes to the Oasys infrastructure supporting it. NFT minting and trading were discontinued, and player wallets were locked. In-app purchases have also already been disabled, meaning there is no practical reason to spend ahead of the shutdown.

What players should do before October 30

  • Log in and use existing Champions, resources, and progress while the servers remain available.
  • Finish any rank goals, matches, or collections worth preserving as memories.
  • Screenshot account details, favorite teams, and completed achievements; no archive or offline mode has been announced.
  • Watch Ubisoft’s official updates for a final shutdown hour, potential last-call events, or account notices.

Players should not expect NFTs, inventories, or wallets to migrate into another Ubisoft game. Ubisoft has not announced a general transfer program to Might & Magic Fates, its digital trading card game with an external marketplace powered by Immutable. One limited exception was previously outlined: players who reached Divine rank at least once during the last three seasons are eligible for free items in Might & Magic Fates. That is a reward offer, not confirmation that Champions Tactics assets or NFT ownership will carry over.

Until Ubisoft says otherwise, treat October 30 as the hard end for every feature tied to Champions Tactics, including its remaining live play and any in-client utility for its former collectibles.
