Control Resonant: How to Complete The Complete Set Side Quest

FinalBoss8 min read
The Complete Set is finished by containing four moving SINKKI D50 speakers, staging the five-device Auction House ritual precisely, then leaving the subwoofer active until the final decision. A wrong placement surface or an early subwoofer shutdown stalls the sequence and forces you to reset the ritual.

The Auction House turns ugly the moment the civilian bends backward and the room starts answering with sound. By then, the difficult part is no longer finding the cursed gear: it is keeping the ritual orderly. Put every device on the leather couch first, move each one to its exact surface, switch off only the four regular speakers in one fast loop, and leave the subwoofer running until its final prompt appears.

Start The Complete Set at the Downtown Auction House

Go to the Auction House in Downtown and speak with the possessed civilian. Search the room afterward and collect the document called There’s People in There. It points toward the missing components of the SINKKI D50 set and starts the hunt for the black subwoofer.

You need five devices in total: four ordinary-looking but altered SINKKI D50 speakers, plus one black subwoofer. The four speakers are spread between the construction site, the Auction House, the coffee shop, and the Museum of Curiosities.

Clear enemies before trying to contain a speaker whenever the area allows it. A bouncing speaker already gives you a narrow interaction window; getting interrupted by combat is the easiest way to lose its route and waste another lap through the zone.

How to Contain the Four SINKKI D50 Speakers

Each SINKKI D50 is a moving containment target. It bounces or travels through its assigned area, then pauses for a brief moment. Stay near it rather than trying to intercept from far away. Watch its direction, move ahead of its path, and use the containment interaction during the short stop.

  • Construction-site speaker: Search the construction area and follow the bouncing device through its route. Keep close to it, then interact as soon as it pauses.
  • Auction House speaker: Clear the rooftop enemies before entering the relevant Auction House section. The speaker is much easier to track once the roof is quiet.
  • Coffee-shop speaker: Find the device in the coffee-shop area, shadow its movement, and wait for the stop rather than mashing the interaction while it is still bouncing.
  • Museum of Curiosities speaker: Reach the museum display area. If the route is blocked by a barricade, look above it for the three Hiss nodes connected by red trails and destroy all three before continuing.

A speaker that looks unreachable has usually taken a vertical route. Check ledges, upper walkways, staircases, and nearby climbing paths before assuming it has despawned. The devices are designed to pull you into their path, not to disappear permanently.

There is one wider traversal wrinkle in Control Resonant. Enemies in the open world remain cleared until you defeat a resonant boss. Defeating one begins a resonance cycle that respawns enemies, raises their levels, and improves material drops. If you are saving a speaker route for later, expect previously quiet streets to become hostile after that cycle begins.

Get the Black Subwoofer From Oldest House Storage

After reading the Auction House document, find Langston in the local-office courtyard. He gives you the access card required for the storage section of the Oldest House.

Use the Oldest House elevators to reach storage, locate the black subwoofer, and contain it as you did the other altered devices. Once it is secured, return to the Auction House with the complete five-piece set.

The subwoofer is the piece that determines the ending, so do not treat it as a fifth regular speaker. It has a placement role during the ritual and must remain powered on during the shutdown sequence.

Place Every Device on the Correct Auction House Surface

Start by placing all five devices on the leather couch in the Auction House. This opens the individual ritual positions and prevents the room from treating a loose speaker as an unplaced object. Once all five are on the couch, move them one by one to their final surfaces.

DeviceRequired ritual position
Speaker 1On the glass surface above the black boxes near the bottom of the stairs.
Speaker 2On the stone position on the stage, opposite the first speaker.
Speaker 3On the blue tarpaulin on the upper level, opposite the civilian.
Speaker 4On the wooden bench behind the third speaker.
Black subwooferIn the water directly behind the civilian, beside the central couch.

The material matters: glass, stone, blue tarpaulin, wood, then water for the subwoofer. The room can look like it is accepting a device when it is only resting against the correct area. If a placement does not register, pick the item up, return it to the couch if necessary, then set it down squarely on the intended surface.

Do not leave even one speaker on the couch once the final arrangement begins. Four speakers must be distributed around the room, while the subwoofer sits behind the civilian on the water-covered floor.

Shut Down the Four Speakers Before They Reactivate

After every device is placed, return upstairs and speak with the civilian. The ritual activates and she enters the distorted bent-back pose. This begins the timed part of the quest.

Run to the four regular SINKKI D50 speakers and use Turn off on each one. Leave the subwoofer alone. The regular speakers reactivate if you take too long, so treat this as a clean clockwise route rather than a room-searching exercise.

  1. Turn off the speaker closest to the civilian.
  2. Move clockwise to the next speaker.
  3. Continue around the Auction House without stopping to inspect props or reposition objects.
  4. Switch off the fourth regular speaker.
  5. Return to the civilian and wait for the subwoofer prompt.

If one of the four speakers turns back on, repeat the loop. The ritual only advances when all four regular speakers are off at once. Turning off the subwoofer during this phase is the trap: it removes the device needed for the final choice instead of progressing the shutdown.

Subwoofer Choice: Turn It Off or Turn It Up

Once the four regular speakers are silent, the black subwoofer becomes interactable and competing voices come through it. The final choice changes the scene and the civilian’s fate, while both outcomes award the same artifact: Untapped Bout Guard.

Final actionWhat happensReward
Turn the subwoofer offThe Gate closes immediately. The civilian dies as the ritual ends.Untapped Bout Guard
Turn the subwoofer volume upThe Gate remains open and the entities enter the civilian’s body. She survives, and the resulting consciousnesses are non-aggressive for FBC collection.Untapped Bout Guard

Choose based on the ending scene you want to see, not on loot. There is no artifact advantage to closing the Gate or amplifying the subwoofer.

Fixes if the Final Subwoofer Prompt Does Not Appear

The Complete Set can stall after the room has been arranged and the four speakers have been switched off. Before rebuilding the entire ritual, check the specific conditions that trigger the subwoofer interaction.

  • Stand beside the civilian until all of her ritual dialogue finishes.
  • Confirm that all four regular speakers are off and that the subwoofer is still active.
  • Approach the civilian first after returning to the room, let her dialogue play, then walk to the subwoofer.
  • Leave the Auction House, fast-travel to another district, and return to Downtown.
  • Close and relaunch the game, then revisit the Auction House.
  • Enter and leave the nearby Gap several times before returning to the ritual room.
  • Recheck the placements, especially the subwoofer’s water position behind the civilian and the upper-level speaker on the blue tarpaulin.

The fastest recovery is usually to verify the four-speaker shutdown first. Players often assume the sequence is broken when one regular speaker has quietly reactivated or the subwoofer was shut down before its choice prompt.

The Clean Route Through The Complete Set

Contain the four moving SINKKI D50 speakers, get Langston’s storage access card for the black subwoofer, put all five items on the leather couch, then place them on glass, stone, blue tarpaulin, wood, and water. From there, speak to the civilian, shut down the four regular speakers in a fast clockwise loop, and save the subwoofer for the ending decision. That order keeps the cursed speaker system from turning into an unnecessary reset loop.
