Crimson Desert: Fix Missing Spanish (Spain) Voice After 2.00.00

FinalBoss·8/26/2026·7 min read

If Spanish (Spain) is missing from Crimson Desert’s voice list after update 2.00.00, open Menu → Others → Options → Settings → Language and Audio, choose Default (shown as Restaurar in Spanish), then reopen the menu and select Spanish (Spain) for Voice Language. You must also make sure the Spanish language pack is installed through Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or Epic Games Store first.

This is a known Crimson Desert Enhanced issue for players who changed their voice language before installing version 2.00.00. Spanish text and subtitles can still work while the Spanish dub is absent, because the game treats voice audio and text settings as separate options.

Use the Default/Restore Fix First

Pearl Abyss’s configuration fix is the important part if the Spanish voice entry has disappeared entirely. Installing the pack alone may not make it visible when your pre-update language settings are carrying over incorrectly.

  • Launch Crimson Desert after confirming that version 2.00.00 is installed.
  • Open Menu → Others → Options → Settings → Language and Audio.
  • Select Default. In the Spanish interface, this is Restaurar.
  • Re-enter Language and Audio after the reset completes.
  • Set Voice Language to Spanish (Spain).
  • Set text and subtitles to Spanish separately if you want the complete Spanish-language presentation.

The reset can return your language choices to their original defaults, so checking the Voice Language field again matters. Do not assume that Spanish subtitles mean the Spanish voice files are active.

Download the Spanish Voice Pack on Your Platform

Crimson Desert Enhanced requires two actions: install the platform-side language content, then select the dub inside the game. The launchers and console dashboards handle the download; the in-game menu handles the final voice choice.

PlatformWhere to install Spanish contentWhat to do in Crimson Desert
SteamLibrary → right-click Crimson DesertPropertiesLanguage → select Spanish.Wait for Steam to download the language files, launch the game, then set Voice Language to Spanish (Spain).
PlayStation 5Highlight the game on the home screen → press the DualSense Options button → Manage Game ContentLanguage → install Spanish (Spain).Launch the game after installation and choose Spanish (Spain) under Language and Audio.
Xbox Series X|SOpen the Crimson Desert game page or tile → Manage game and add-ons → find Features or language packs → download the Spanish voice feature.Launch the game, reset with Default if necessary, then set Voice Language to Spanish (Spain).
Epic Games StoreUse the three-dot menu beside Crimson DesertOptions → select or check Spanish.Let Epic finish the language download, start the game, then select Spanish (Spain) in Language and Audio.

Steam: Make the Launcher Download the Audio Before Launching

On Steam, the in-game menu cannot select a dub that has not been downloaded. Right-click Crimson Desert in your Library, open Properties → Language, and choose Spanish. Steam should then queue the language content. Let that download finish before launching Crimson Desert.

Once you are in-game, use Menu → Others → Options → Settings → Language and Audio and set the voice option to Spanish (Spain). If it still is not listed, choose Default, reopen the menu, and select it again. A full game restart is worth doing on PC after the download or reset so the game reloads its language configuration.

PS5: Install It Through Manage Game Content

The PS5 download path sits outside Crimson Desert’s own settings. Highlight the game on the console home screen, press Options, then open Manage Game Content. Under Language, install the Spanish (Spain) content.

After the install finishes, start the game and open Menu → Others → Options → Settings → Language and Audio. In a Spanish interface, the same path is Menú → Otros → Ajustes → Idiomas y audio. Choose español (España) for voices. If the entry does not exist, use Restaurar, then return to the voice selection field.

Xbox Series X|S: Check the Optional Features List

Xbox handles the new dub as optional game content. Go to Crimson Desert’s tile or game page, choose Manage game and add-ons, and check the Features or language-pack section for the Spanish voice download. Install that feature before changing any in-game setting.

The common Xbox trap is staying inside the game’s audio menu and assuming the update downloaded every voice pack automatically. Once the feature is installed, enter Others → Options → Settings → Language and Audio. If Spanish remains absent, select Default, reopen the menu, and choose Spanish (Spain).

If the reset does not restore the option, revisit Manage game and add-ons → Features and refresh the Spanish voice download before trying the in-game reset again. The Default reset remains the documented fix for the 2.00.00 configuration error; re-downloading the feature addresses the separate possibility that Xbox has not retained the optional package correctly.

Epic Games Store: Use the Three-Dot Options Menu

In the Epic Games Launcher, find Crimson Desert in your Library, open the three-dot menu, and select Options. Mark Spanish as an installed language, apply the change, and wait for the launcher to complete its download.

Then launch the game and set Voice Language to Spanish (Spain) in Menu → Others → Options → Settings → Language and Audio. If the voice entry is missing despite Epic completing the download, use Default in that screen and select Spanish again after the reset.

Why Spanish Text Can Work While the Dub Is Missing

Version 2.00.00 separates interface text, subtitles, and voice audio. That means a Spanish interface is not proof that the Castilian Spanish voice package is installed, and an installed package is not proof that it has been selected in the Voice Language field.

The problem is tied to the language-setting changes introduced with Crimson Desert Enhanced. Released as a free update for existing owners on 25 August 2026, version 2.00.00 added full voice-over for German, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Brazilian Portuguese. It also added Arabic interface and subtitle support, along with new cutscenes and dialogue intended to improve the story flow.

Crimson Desert Enhanced is the 2.00.00 update, not a separate paid edition. If the game is on an earlier build, the new Spanish voice option will not be available at all.

Quick Checks If Spanish (Spain) Still Does Not Appear

  • Confirm the installed game version is 2.00.00.
  • Confirm the Spanish pack has finished downloading through your launcher or console content-management screen.
  • Check Voice Language, not only Text Language or Subtitles.
  • Use Default or Restaurar in Language and Audio if you changed voice languages before the update.
  • Re-enter the menu after the reset and manually choose Spanish (Spain) again.
  • On PC, fully close and relaunch Crimson Desert after changing language files or restoring settings.
  • On Xbox, check the optional Features list again if the voice pack is still missing from the game menu.

The shortest reliable route is: install the Spanish pack through your platform, reset Language and Audio with Default/Restaurar if the entry is missing, then explicitly select Spanish (Spain) for voices. That handles both parts of the 2.00.00 issue: absent audio files and the saved-setting bug that can hide the new dub.
