Dokimon Quest Is Free to Keep on Steam Until August 26—Claim It Fast

Steam is giving away the 2024 monster-collecting RPG Dokimon Quest for keeps until August 26 at 10:00 a.m. PT.

The important distinction is permanent ownership: this is not a free weekend or a trial. Add Dokimon Quest to the correct Steam account before the offer expires and it remains in that account’s library, ready to download and play later.

The 48-hour promotion ends on August 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. PT, 1:00 p.m. ET, or 17:00 UTC. That converts to 7:00 p.m. CEST in Germany and 2:00 a.m. JST on August 27 in Japan. Steam’s store listing shows the game at $0 during the window and says it is free to keep when claimed before the cutoff. Once the timer ends, the regular price returns; coverage lists it as $14.99 in the US and €14.79 in Germany.

How to claim and verify Dokimon Quest

  • Sign in to the Steam account where you want the game permanently stored.
  • Open the Dokimon Quest store page in the Steam client or browser.
  • Confirm the offer displays as free, then select the green “Add to Account,” “Get,” or equivalent button.
  • Finish the zero-cost checkout. No download is required before the deadline.
  • Open Steam Library and search for Dokimon Quest; its presence there confirms the license is attached to that account.

If it does not show up immediately, refresh the Library and make sure Steam is signed into the account used for the claim. A store page still showing a price can also require a refresh, though players should not wait near the deadline. Steam notes that some limitations apply, but the available store notice does not specify them.

Released on November 22, 2024, Yanako RPGs’ turn-based creature-collection game sends players across the Xelos region to find a missing childhood friend. Its campaign runs roughly 15 to 20 hours, with more than 140 Dokimon and over 15 cities and locations spanning caves, mountains, and seas. The only action that matters before August 26 is adding the free license to Steam.
