The sixth season of the Nordic Game Discovery Contest came to a rousing close this November with a Baltic finale during the Game Wave Festival in Tallinn, Estonia.
Everdream Valley, developed by Mooneaters, an independent game development studio from Olsztyn, in northeastern Poland, outshined their on-stage competitors and won the Game of the Year title at this year’s NGDC Season VI Grand Finals at Game Wave Festival!
Everdream Valley promises a unique experience that mixes adventure with RPG and sim elements. The player steps into an enchanted open-world farming game. He takes on the role of various animals living in the valley and undertakes tasks such as tending to crops, raising livestock, combating pests, and exploring his surroundings. Unexpectedly, he begins having peculiar dreams where he defends the farm from predators as a dog, searches for missing ducklings with a mother duck’s instinctive guidance or soars through the sky above the farm in a magpie’s body. Now, it is up to him to uncover the mystery behind these strange visions while continuing to care for his farm.
The game brings a nostalgic feeling of childhood adventures on the grandparents’ farm and helps you relive the times when the summer holidays were an amazing adventure!

Broadcast live before a cheering audience, NGDC Grand Final pitted this season’s Final Three teams and their games against each other on the main stage of the Game Wave Festival, following twelve months of qualifiers and grand final selection.
