Deluxe buyers still start on January 26 and do not receive either paid expansion. The €20 step from Deluxe to Premium adds the five-day early-access window, entitlement to both planned expansions, VIP Membership and two additional car packs. That distinction matters more than the edition names when deciding which version to buy.

Forza Horizon 6 PS5 release date and early access
Forza Horizon 6 releases on PlayStation 5 on January 26, 2027. Standard and Deluxe owners begin on that date. Premium Edition owners can start on January 21, 2027, through the edition’s up-to-five-day early-access entitlement.
The January date replaces the earlier 2026 PS5 window. Playground Games’ Japan-set racer first launched on Xbox Series X|S and PC in May 2026; the PS5 version will be available in physical and digital formats.
January 21 is the Premium base-game access date. It should be kept separate from the first expansion’s timing, rather than treated as a guarantee that every part of the Premium package will be playable immediately.
PS5 editions: prices and included content
The three editions share the full game. Their differences are the bundled cars, Premium benefits, expansion entitlement and earliest PS5 start date.

| Edition | Euro price | Earliest PS5 start | Included content |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | €69.99 | January 26, 2027 | Full game |
| Deluxe | €99.99 | January 26, 2027 | Full game, Welcome Pack and Car Pass |
| Premium | €119.99 | January 21, 2027 | Full game, Welcome Pack, Car Pass, VIP Membership, Expansion 1, Expansion 2, Time Attack Car Pack and Italian Passion Pack |
Standard is the lowest-cost purchase for the core game. Premium costs €50 more. If your immediate aim is to play the base game from January 26, Standard avoids paying upfront for the additional content.
Deluxe costs €30 more than Standard and adds the Welcome Pack and Car Pass. Choose it specifically for those additions. Car Pass does not include the two Premium expansions, and Deluxe does not provide early access.
Premium is the edition for a January 21 start and both planned expansions. Its €20 premium over Deluxe also includes VIP Membership, the Time Attack Car Pack and the Italian Passion Pack. Expansion entitlement covers access when each expansion releases; it does not mean both expansions arrive with the PS5 launch.
First expansion timing and the free update
The first paid expansion is scheduled within the January launch window, but its exact release day remains unclear between January 21 and January 26. That uncertainty also prevents assigning a definite expansion launch date to each platform. Do not base a Premium purchase on guaranteed January 21 expansion access.

Expansion 1 is included in Premium Edition and the Premium Upgrade, and will also be sold separately. Its name, theme and standalone price have not been announced. Expansion 2 is included in Premium Edition, but has no announced release date.
A free content update for all players is also planned around the PS5 launch. It is separate from the paid expansion package, and its contents have not been detailed.
PS5 pre-orders and the Ferrari J50 bonus
PS5 pre-orders are open. Pre-ordering any edition grants a pre-tuned Ferrari J50, so the car is not a reason to move from Standard to Deluxe or Premium.
The Ferrari J50 unlocks after completing the prologue. It is not available at the beginning of a new save.
