Gears of War: E-Day: How to Get the Chicken Cannon – Unlock Condition

The reward to look for is a white-and-red grenade launcher, nicknamed the Chicken Cannon or lanzapollos. This overview covers its unlock condition and mission context; individual box locations and the exact activation point are outside its scope.

Chicken Cannon unlock condition

Destroy all six egg boxes in Act 2, Chapter 2: “Hold the Line”. Completing that six-box requirement causes the launcher to drop. Ordinary supply crates and collectible pickups should not be counted toward the egg-box requirement.

Find the right chapter

“Hold the Line” takes place in an open area with free exploration and secondary objectives. Mission objectives include Secure Octus Way Station, Investigate the Muster Point and Secure and Destroy the Imulsion Stockpile. Use those names to identify the relevant chapter, rather than treating them as directions to individual boxes.

Keep collectible hunting separate

Tac-Com and audio cues help locate nearby items during exploration. A collectible chime is useful for finding collectibles, but it should not be treated as an egg-box completion cue.
