Grounded 2: All Trinkets, Effects, Locations, and Best Picks

FinalBoss·8/12/2026·7 min read

Grounded 2 trinkets are strongest when you equip for the job in front of you rather than chasing one permanent “best” accessory. Fluffy Dandelion Tuft is the best all-purpose exploration pick, Fancy Fletching is the clear bow choice, and melee players should match their trinket to their weapon pattern: combo finishers, charge attacks, two-handed execution damage, or elemental hits.

The current named trinket pool covered here contains 16 accessories with established effects and acquisition routes. Early Access additions can expand that list, so focus first on the trinkets that directly support the build you are already using instead of farming every creature drop immediately.

Best Trinkets to Equip First

If you are still building out your collection, prioritize trinkets with permanent value across multiple activities. A specialized ant-damage or low-health trinket can be powerful in the correct encounter, but it will spend much of its time sitting unused in your inventory.

  • Best overall for exploration: Fluffy Dandelion Tuft. Infinite gliding makes vertical areas safer and gives you more freedom when crossing the park. It remains useful regardless of your armor, weapon, or co-op role.
  • Best for bow users: Fancy Fletching. Faster bow charges mean more shots during safe attack windows and less time exposed while an enemy closes distance.
  • Best early melee unlock: Astonishing Acid. Analyzing an Acid Gland is a direct route to a trinket that rewards a normal three-hit attack pattern.
  • Best O.R.C. defense: O.R.C. Nullifier. Reducing incoming O.R.C. damage after landing hits is more dependable than relying on low-health buffs.
  • Best O.R.C. offense: Volatile Capacitor. The shock bonus and charge-hit blast give it the highest payoff when you are already using heavy attacks against O.R.C. enemies.
  • Best quality-of-life pick: Everlasting Hogstopper. Passive food generation makes extended resource runs smoother and reduces the supplies you need to carry.

How to Match a Trinket to Your Build

The important distinction is between trinkets that reward attack frequency, combo completion, and charged hits. Equipping the wrong one leaves a lot of its effect unused.

Fast melee weapons

Choose an elemental damage trinket — Blistering Boiler, Spectacular Spicy Shard, or Suspicious Mint — when your weapon lands many hits. Flat elemental damage is applied repeatedly, so rapid attacks gain more value from it than slow, cautious swings.

Use Astonishing Acid when you reliably reach the third attack in a combo. Use Stabby Stinger when the target lives long enough for venom from that final hit to contribute meaningful damage.

Heavy and charge-attack weapons

Shivering Scale is the control pick because charge attacks can chill or freeze foes, buying space for another heavy swing or a safe reset. Against O.R.C. creatures, replace it with Volatile Capacitor for shock damage and the additional blast from charged hits.

Cleaving Claw belongs on two-handed weapons when you are looking to execute enemies as their health drops. Its critical-hit boost is specifically aimed at low-health creatures, so it has little value at the opening of a fight but can speed up the finish.

Ranged and mobility-focused builds

Fancy Fletching is the practical ranged slot. Faster charging improves damage uptime and makes bow play more forgiving when you must shoot, reposition, and shoot again. For scouting, resource routes, or any area with dangerous drops, equip Fluffy Dandelion Tuft before leaving base.

Trinkets That Need a Specific Situation

  • Myrmecologist Token: Bring it for ant-heavy areas only if you can manage the reduced damage resistance. The damage bonus is attractive, but getting surrounded while wearing it is the obvious danger.
  • Roach Rage: This is for players comfortable operating at low health. It can turn a bad situation into a damage window, but it is unreliable for solo survival or unfamiliar fights.
  • O.R.C. Nullifier: Keep it ready even if it is not part of your normal loadout. Its defensive effect is targeted, making it a strong swap before O.R.C. encounters.
  • Sturdy Shell: Favor it when a fight is punishing enough that consistent toughness is more valuable than adding another elemental damage bonus.
  • Eco Exploitation Token: Collect it during the Spider Den Anthill route, then compare its modifier to the specific weapon or survival problem you are trying to solve.

Fastest Collection Route Priorities

Start with the trinkets tied to guaranteed progression, analysis, or fixed exploration objectives. They avoid the uncertainty of creature-drop farming and give your build useful options immediately.

  • Analyze an Acid Gland for Astonishing Acid.
  • Loot the Snackbar Anthill chest for Myrmecologist Token.
  • Find Employee 211 in the Spider Den Anthill for Eco Exploitation Token.
  • Reach Brainpower Level 6 for O.R.C. Nullifier.
  • Reach Brainpower Level 9 for Volatile Capacitor.
  • Farm Dandelions or Crow Feathers if traversal or bow play is your immediate priority.

Leave creature-specific drops such as Blistering Boiler, Cleaving Claw, Shivering Scale, and Stabby Stinger for the point where you have committed to the build they support. The right trinket changes a weapon’s rhythm; a random trinket collected early does not need to dictate your entire loadout.
