Grounded 2
Shrunk again, but the world is much larger. In this open-world, single-player or co-op survival adventure, craft weapons and armor, build your base, and traver…
If you’ve ever felt stuck scavenging for random loot early in Grounded 2, snails are about to become your best friends. These slimy critters guarantee Snail Goo and Shell Fragments with every takedown—key ingredients for adhesives, shields, armor plates, and traps. With a handful of simple tactics, you’ll breeze through your first upgrades and turn backyard survival into child’s play.
Grounded 2 features two primary snail types: the timid Garden Snail and the more aggressive Swamp Snail. They share core mechanics but differ in habitat, aggression level, and slime behavior.
Both retreat into their shells when damaged, rendering them immune to direct attacks until they emerge with exposed bellies—your only vulnerable target.
Hit at least level 10 before tackling snail farming. This ensures you have enough health, stamina, and a couple of basic perks to withstand surprise ant or spider attacks while you focus on the snails.

Clear inventory slots before you head out and use chalk arrows or flags to mark high-density snail zones. You’ll save time and avoid backtracking once you finish harvesting.
Snails peek out in flower beds, under benches, or damp leaf litter. Watch their slow charge animation—if you dodge at the right moment, you avoid damage and position yourself for a counter.

Swamp Snails leave a sticky trail that temporarily roots you. Circle wide around these paths or stock quick-dry consumables. If you get slowed, back off until the effect wears off.
After dodging the charge, move to its soft side—the exposed area behind the eyestalks. Land a fully charged hammer strike to stun it. You’ll see stars and hear a distinct thud—this is your green light.
While stunned, switch to your slashing blade and unleash a flurry of quick hits on the exposed belly. Aim for 4–6 chops before the snail starts to shake off the stun.

Once it shakes the stars off, step back to dodge its counterattack. Let it reset its defense, then repeat the dodge–stun–slash cycle. Consistency is key, especially with multiple snails around.
