Kakariko Village awaits—your starting point for the “Le mal des miasmes” quest.
First, make your way to Kakariko Village, tucked south of Lanelle Swamp and northeast of the Sahasla Plain Skyview Tower in Necluda. Once there, look for Amboise near the main plaza—usually by the clothing shop or staircase. His grandmother has fallen ill, succumbing to the mysterious miasma plaguing Hyrule.

Talk to Amboise to set your quest in motion and offer your help.
“Le mal des miasmes” is more than a simple fetch quest—it’s a blend of cooking, exploration, and economic revival. The miasma crisis has sent Kakariko’s shop prices soaring. By lending Amboise a hand, you’ll cure his grandmother and restore affordable prices in the clothing shop, unlocking coveted armor sets at a major discount. Stealth and nocturnal adventurers, rejoice!
To heal Amboise’s grandmother, you’ll need to cook up a Gruau aux légumes solaris (Veggie Porridge with Solaris Flower). Collect these items:
Solaris Flowers grow on Hyrule’s floating islands—keep your eyes peeled above the clouds.
With all four ingredients in hand, head to a cookpot in Kakariko Village (look outside the inn). Here’s how to whip up the dish:

Combine your ingredients at the cookpot—don’t forget even one for the perfect porridge!
Take your freshly cooked porridge back to Amboise. He’ll offer it to his grandmother, curing her and triggering a short cutscene. Your efforts will not go unnoticed!
With the miasma gone, shop prices drop and new armor sets become accessible.
Your good deed pays off: Kakariko’s clothing shop returns to normal pricing, unlocking the Stealth Set and Nocturnal Set at much lower costs. The village flourishes, and you’re reminded that even a single quest can ripple across all of Hyrule.
