After dozens of slips, falls and wipes in Peak, I finally honed my revival approach—transforming frustrating detours into smooth team rescues. Below, I share the exact methods, insider tips and pitfalls I wish someone had warned me about.
Why Reviving Matters
In Peak, a single misjudged jump or empty stamina bar can strand your entire squad. Efficient revives keep momentum alive, prevent full-run resets at the last campsite, and ensure no one hikes half a biome alone. Think of revival as both lifesaver and time-saver on every ascent.

Preparation: Gear and Knowledge
Basic health and stamina consumables—for last-second sprints or cliff-side revives.
Corpse awareness—fallen teammates’ bodies remain until revived or the run ends.
Checkpoint intel—know your nearest Ancient Statue location in each biome.
Clear communication—assign roles, track who carries revival items, and call out dead/alive status.
Revival Methods Explained
Ancient Statues: Group Checkpoint Revive
Ensure at least one teammate survives to the campsite.
Locate the Ancient Statue at the biome’s endcamp.
Interact (E on PC, Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox) to revive all players who died since the last statue.
Pro tip: Reserve resurrection items until after using the statue—its magic overwrites any single-use revives.
Role play: Designate a “safe runner” who conserves resources to reach each checkpoint.
Scout Effigy: Portable Single-Life Saver
Bring every climber alive to a biome’s Ancient Statue—earn a Scout Effigy instead of a revive.
Rotate the fastest player as Effigy-bearer to minimize item loss risk.
On a death, rush to the corpse and activate the Effigy on site.
Warning: Single use only. Save it for mid-biome emergencies or pre-checkpoint disasters.
Communication: Always announce who’s holding the Effigy, especially during splits.
Cursed Skull: Emergency One-Time Rebirth
Collect and stow the Cursed Skull—typically found in side paths or as rare quest rewards.
Reach the fallen teammate’s body in the same map segment.
Activate the Skull near the corpse for an instant revive.
When to use: Late-run, high-altitude crises when campfires are out of reach.
Strategy: Assign your most reliable climber as Skull-carrier to ensure it isn’t lost in chaos.
