Isaac’s Complete Console Edition Adds 4-Player Online Co-Op on Nov. 19

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Online launches November 19, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, bringing four-player online co-op to consoles for the first time.

“Complete” has a concrete meaning here: the new console package combines the base game with Afterbirth, Afterbirth+, Repentance, and Repentance+, rather than asking players to assemble older expansion tiers separately. Its functional change is larger than the name suggests, that said. Console Isaac runs will no longer be limited to local groups.

Nicalis will release The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Online on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. It is the first console version to support online co-op for one to four players. Public matchmaking and custom session filters are included, while integrated voice chat has also been detailed for console play.

The online layer is not restricted to a separate co-op queue or a specific campaign route. It applies across the game’s modes, including daily runs, Greed mode, and the challenge playlist, with leaderboards and search filters attached to the broader online system. That changes party planning materially: four players can form an internet session without sharing a couch, while the underlying Isaac run structure — and its dependence on item combinations, risk management, and rapidly changing builds — remains intact.

Platform availability is uneven in one important respect. PS5 and Xbox Series editions are confirmed as digital releases, while Switch 2 is planned for both digital and physical distribution. The Switch 2 physical edition has been listed at $69.99, but buyers should not infer more from that listing: it has not been confirmed whether the release uses a full game cartridge, a game-key card, or requires a download.

Existing owners should also treat this as a standalone release until Nicalis states otherwise. No free upgrade policy, cross-save support, console account-linking details, or cross-platform multiplayer has been confirmed. The PC Steam-Epic crossplay configuration does not establish console crossplay.

Watch for final confirmation of Switch 2 packaging, cross-platform support, and any upgrade route before the November 19 launch.
