Warhorse Studios has announced the opening of a new development office in Brno and outlined a two-part DLC roadmap for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The move is aimed at strengthening the studio’s capacity for parallel projects and expanding its historical RPG offerings.

New Brno Office Details

According to a July 1, 2025 press release from Warhorse Studios, the Brno branch will be led by Petr Kolář, formerly of Ashborne Studios. The facility is intended to tap into the region’s established talent pool—home to developers from Bohemia Interactive and Hangar 13—and support multiple concurrent projects.

Warhorse cited Moravian expertise and the city’s growing technical workforce as key factors in selecting Brno. The studio projects that the new team will contribute to both current and future expansions of the Kingdom Come franchise.

DLC Roadmap

Warhorse Studios has confirmed two major DLC chapters for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2:

  • Legacy of the Force – Scheduled for autumn 2025, this expansion explores Henry’s relationship with his adoptive father and introduces new character-driven quests.
  • Mysteria Ecclesiae – Arriving winter 2025, this chapter takes players into Sedlec Monastery, focusing on monastic culture, political intrigue, and fresh questlines.

These announcements follow the game’s record-breaking launch, with over three million units sold in the first three months, as reported by Warhorse Studios on their official website.

Future Franchise Expansion

The choice of Brno—historic capital of Moravia—has fueled speculation about future content set in the region. While Warhorse Studios has not officially confirmed a Moravian setting, the proximity to local archives and heritage sites suggests potential for deeper exploration in later expansions.

Implications for Gamers

The establishment of a second studio indicates Warhorse’s commitment to sustaining and accelerating post-launch support. More development resources may reduce DLC lead times and improve patch turnaround. However, the studio will need to manage growth carefully to avoid the pitfalls of overextension seen in other large-scale RPG productions.

With a strong track record of post-launch communication and updates, Warhorse Studios aims to maintain quality while scaling up. Fans of historical RPGs can expect a steady stream of content through the end of 2025 and beyond.
