Palworld’s exit from Early Access on July 10 is not a ceremonial patch. The Version 1.0 update carries 27 pages of patch notes, rewrites progression and combat mechanics, and introduces new story missions, areas, Pals, and a Wing Pack that enables flight. Pocketpair has framed the build as a major expansion, making the launch as much a redesign as a graduation.
The update goes live on July 10, 2026, at approximately 12:30 PM Japan Standard Time. That translates to July 9 at 8:30 PM PDT and 11:30 PM EDT for North American players, while European regions unlock early on July 10 at 4:30 AM BST and 5:30 AM CEST. Australian players can begin at 1:30 PM AEST on July 10. PC players should check their store after 10:00 PM local time on July 9 to begin downloading if the update is available in their region.

Pocketpair has confirmed that Early Access saves will not be wiped. Technically, your existing worlds will load. The studio nevertheless recommends starting a new character or save because progression and core mechanics have been redesigned. The choice is preservation versus intended design: a legacy save keeps your hours intact but was built under old rules, while a fresh start aligns with the new progression curve and content pacing.
If you choose to hedge your bets, back up your data now. On PC, saves are typically found in %AppData%\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames. On console, ensure your system’s cloud backup is active before launch day. Expect update server traffic at rollout; deciding your save strategy before the build goes live will keep you out of the menu and in the game.

Treat this not as a continuation of Early Access but as a soft relaunch. The new content and mechanical resets reward a clean slate, and with this much of the game rewritten, the best first session is the one that starts at zero.
