Paris Games Week (PGW) returns October 30–November 2, 2025, with a bold lineup that stretches the definition of a gaming expo. Organizers promise late-night shows, an arena-ready esports schedule, immersive pop culture zones and a beefed-up business track. Early bird passes, valid through July 31, offer access to single-day, multi-day and premium experiences.

More Nights, More Action

This year marks PGW’s first-ever late-night extension: on October 30, 31 and November 1, the show floor stays open until 21:00. After the standard demos close, visitors can catch live DJ sets, acoustic showcases and unannounced surprise acts on a dedicated “After Dark” stage. According to a SELL spokesperson, “We want to give gamers a place to hang out long after demo pods close. It’s about community vibes—friends sharing tips, live music and unexpected encounters.” Popular Cosplay Café and the Retro Arcade Bar will operate into the evening, ensuring a festival atmosphere even after sunset.

Arena-Style Esports Revamp

Esports fans can expect daily national, European and world championship finals under the expo’s main dome. Unlike past editions where tournaments were squeezed into side rooms, PGW 2025 places high-profile matches front and center, complete with LED lighting rigs and stadium seating. Tournament director Emilie Carpentier says, “We’ve partnered with top leagues to host counter-strike, fighting game and mobile championships in true pro style. This is PGW’s statement: we’re in the big leagues alongside BLAST and EVO.” The expanded schedule includes open qualifiers, celebrity exhibition matches and live coaching sessions with pro players.

Zones for Gamers, Families and Otakus

New thematic areas cater to every corner of the pop culture spectrum. “PGW Gaming” showcases the latest AAA titles, indie gems and retro classics. “PGW Pop Culture” hosts manga reading lounges, cosplay runways and panels with manga artists. “PGW Family” invites parents and kids to cooperative game experiences, kid-friendly tournaments and educational demos. Rap duo Bigflo & Oli join as artistic consultants, curating a Saturday evening performance that blends French hip-hop and gaming culture. Attendee Tristan Durand, 16, says he’s most excited for the cosplay workshops: “Seeing your favorite characters come to life is the best part of the show.”

Networking, Careers and Creative Workshops

In the “PGW Campus” and “PGW Business” hubs, students, developers and publishers can dive into career panels, startup pitches and hands-on design workshops. Highlights include a “Speed Dev” challenge for rapid prototype creation, a keynote from France’s minister of digital affairs, and roundtables on diversity in games. SELL reports that last year’s business track sparked over 200 hiring referrals; the 2025 edition aims to double that figure. Sessions on sustainable development, VR education tools and blockchain gaming will run concurrently, giving professionals actionable takeaways rather than generic presentations.

Tickets, Logistics and Community Impact

Early bird tickets are available through July 31, after which prices rise by 15–25%. Options range from basic day passes (around €25) to three-day VIP combos with fast-track entry and exclusive merch. To prevent overcrowding, PGW is capping daily attendance and introducing staggered entry times. The venue’s improved shuttle service links Paris Expo with Gare Montparnasse and Charles de Gaulle airport. Organizers say they’ve collaborated with local authorities to manage foot traffic and ensure an inclusive, accessible experience for visitors with reduced mobility.

With extended hours, a pro-grade esports lineup and deeper pop culture crossovers, PGW 2025 is staking its claim as more than just a tradeshow—it’s a full-blown festival for every type of gaming enthusiast. The challenge will be balancing scale with the grassroots energy that made the expo a home for French gamers. For those ready to level up their autumn, the next checkpoint is securing your pass before July 31.
