After spending my first full evening in Resident Evil: Requiem wandering around early Raccoon City, I was convinced I’d broken the “Tombés du camion” trophy. I’d seen containers, some guides mentioned four, my in-game map only seemed to care about three, and I kept worrying I’d passed a point of no return.
The breakthrough came when I realized two key things:
Once I stopped overthinking it and followed a clean loop through camp → main street → underground canal back to Café Oasis, the “Tombés du camion” trophy popped naturally on the third crate. This guide walks you through exactly how to do that, without needless backtracking or paranoia about missing content.
First, you don’t have to “find” the key early or pull any weird sequence breaks. The BSAA Container Key is given to you automatically as part of the story.
Here’s what actually happens in-game:
You can’t really miss this: if you’ve opened the parking gate and watched the scene, you already have the key. From this point on, any unopened BSAA container in Raccoon City that requires the key can be opened.
My tip: Don’t stress about containers before you reach this parking lot sequence. Make a mental note of them, but there’s no way to open them without that cutscene first.
This is where I wasted the most time: some spots in Raccoon City look like BSAA crates but don’t count for the trophy. There’s also at least one container near fallen soldiers that’s already open when you arrive.
For the French trophy “Tombés du camion” (called “Crate Expectations” in some English versions), what mattered in my run were:
Once I opened those three in a single playthrough, the trophy popped instantly-no extra conditions, no menu interaction required. Containers that are already open or can be looted without the key did not seem to matter for the achievement.
Good news: after you’ve picked up the key, each unopened BSAA container is marked on your map. Hit the Map button (Touchpad / View / M) and look for the distinctive crate icon so you don’t wander blindly.
In my experience, this is the cleanest order to grab all three containers without confusion or extra backtracking:
The last step is where I almost gave up, because the path back to Café Oasis isn’t obvious. I’ll walk through each crate in detail.

This is the easiest one to get, and you’ll naturally pass it during the story-but it’s still possible to run straight past it if you’re in a hurry.
After you’ve done the early Raccoon City combat and made your way to the BSAA’s Central Camp, look for:
Once you have the BSAA Container Key from the parking lot cutscene, walk up to the container’s lock and interact with it. Your character will automatically use the key to pop it open.
Inside you’ll find the Repair Kit needed to finish assembling the detonator / signal device and eventually access your escape vehicle (motorcycle). This is effectively mandatory for the story, so don’t skip it.
My mistake: On my first run I assumed the camp container was just story loot and didn’t realize it also counts for the trophy. Make sure you interact with it, don’t just sprint to the next objective marker.
The second container is in the third Raccoon City zone, on the main road that leads toward the gas station area. This one is simple to reach but easy to overlook in the chaos, especially if you’re trying to conserve ammo and run past enemies.
Once you’ve left Central Camp and pushed through the next set of streets, you’ll arrive at a wider, more open main road full of ruined vehicles. The gas station is up ahead in this section.

Here’s what to do:
There are usually several infected milling around in this choke point. On my successful run I did this:
The exact loot can vary a bit depending on difficulty, but you’ll pick up valuable ammo and resources-enough that it’s worth the slight detour even if you don’t care about the trophy.
Don’t make my mistake: I initially assumed the crate icon on my map referred to something in the gas station yard itself and walked back and forth for a good ten minutes. The container is actually on the street before the station, hidden behind that maze of vehicles.
This last one is where most people, myself included, get twisted around. The container is in the intro section of Raccoon City, near the Café Oasis and the spot where you fought the giant spider boss early on. You can’t open it the first time you’re there, and returning isn’t straightforward.
Remember that first Raccoon City stretch with the small plaza, Café Oasis sign, and the entrance to Ridgewood Station? Just outside that station area, close to the café, sits another BSAA container. You likely ran right past it the first time, long before you had the key.
Once you’ve got the BSAA Container Key and progressed to the gas station section, your goal is to take a hidden underground route that loops you back to this starting area.
From the main street container, continue forward until you properly reach the gas station itself. Explore the interior and the surrounding yard to find:
Make absolutely sure you have a filled canister before you move on. On my first attempt I grabbed the empty one, ran to the gate, and then had to slog all the way back under fire to refill it.
From the gas station, head toward the west side of this zone. You’re looking for a locked metal gate with a generator beside it. It’s easy to miss because it doesn’t look like a main path—more like a little maintenance entrance.

At this gate:
Behind the gate you’ll find a ladder leading down into a drainage canal / underground pipe. This is your shortcut back to the starting district.
Climb down the ladder into the canal. This area is fairly linear but still dangerous:
Keep following the tunnel until you eventually climb up another ladder. When you emerge, you’ll recognize the surroundings: you’re back near Ridgewood Station, close to the Café Oasis plaza from the opening Raccoon City section.
From the ladder exit:
Walk up, use the BSAA Container Key, and loot the goodies inside. As soon as I closed the loot screen here, the “Tombés du camion” trophy unlocked.
Important: If you advance the story too far past this point (especially once you leave Raccoon City using the motorcycle/vehicle), coming back is no longer possible in the same run. Make sure you grab this container before committing to the major escape sequence.
Based on my own false starts, here are the main mistakes to avoid while going for this trophy:
If you follow the order in this guide—Central Camp → Main Street near Gas Station → Café Oasis / Ridgewood Station—you’ll clear all three BSAA containers in well under an hour of focused play, even on a fresh run.
Once “Tombés du camion” pops, you’re free to relax about BSAA containers in this chapter. You’ve seen all the key early-game rewards (including the Repair Kit and extra supplies), and you won’t need to worry about backtracking routes through Raccoon City just for this achievement again.
On my second playthrough, knowing these three spots completely changed my pacing: I could grab everything efficiently, stay stocked for tougher encounters, and focus more on exploring new routes instead of obsessively checking every alley for a missed crate.
If I could summarize this trophy in one sentence: get the key from the parking cutscene, open the camp crate, grab the street crate before the gas station, then use the underground canal to loop back and open the Café Oasis crate. Do that, and the rest of your time in early Raccoon City will be much smoother.
