Spending more than eight hours per day sitting down can quickly turn your back into a battleground. After testing various gaming and ergonomic chairs, I decided to take a chance on the Sihoo Doro S100, an ergonomic chair with a distinctly futuristic design.
Three months of intensive use later, it’s time for me to share my honest and uncompromising review. No affiliation here—just genuine user feedback to help you determine whether this chair truly delivers on comfort, durability, and value for money.
So, is the Sihoo Doro S100 genuinely a great deal or simply clever marketing?
A Choice Born from Chance and Value for Money
Though I’ve tried numerous gaming chairs before, I was specifically looking for something of good quality and notably cheaper than a Titan Labs chair, for instance.
The Sihoo appeared somewhat by chance during my searches, and given the listed price, I jumped in, thinking I’d made a great deal during the last Black Friday. They got me good. 🙂

Comfort and Ergonomics: A Long-Term Companion
Coming from a standard leather office chair that left me in pain after a few hours, the difference with the Doro S100 is striking. This chair now enables me to comfortably sit for entire days (6–8 hours) without any back pain. Its dual-adjustment dynamic lumbar support system perfectly follows body movements, although I personally would have preferred slightly more resistance or the ability to adjust it myself. The Sihoo system uses springs that adapt to the shape of your back.
In terms of adjustments, this chair provides excellent modularity: adjustable seat height and armrests adjustable in height and depth—something incredibly practical in daily use. The only downside is that one of the armrest supports on my unit has a defect and doesn’t hold its height position correctly. I suspect this happened during transport since everything else functions perfectly.
For my body type (1m80 / 94kg), the chair is perfectly suitable and shows no signs of strain.
Build Quality and Materials: Robustness Guaranteed
Build quality is definitely there. The metal frame and wheels inspire confidence right from the first impression. Initially, I was skeptical about the mesh seat, but I have to admit it’s quite comfortable and offers the advantage of not sliding around, unlike leather chairs.
The chair’s ability to recline nearly 180 degrees without wobbling showcases its sturdiness. After three months of nearly daily intensive use, I haven’t noticed any wear or deterioration.
The wheels, despite being plastic, are mounted on a steel frame, which gives a reassuring sense of quality. All adjustment mechanisms seem robust and reliable, aside from the previously mentioned armrest issue.
Assembly and Installation: Exemplary Simplicity
The unboxing and assembly experience is truly excellent. White gloves are provided for assembly—a nice detail that makes a difference. The bolts are of good quality, and the instructions are clear. Complete assembly took me just around 30 minutes. If you’ve ever successfully assembled IKEA furniture without throwing any parts out the window, this chair will pose absolutely no problem.

Design and Aesthetics: Futuristic but Polarizing
The design is resolutely futuristic and may not appeal to everyone. In my rather cozy-styled office, it stands out a bit, but the comfort largely compensates for this minor aesthetic mismatch. The chair is available in two colors: white or black. Since tastes and colors are subjective, it’s up to you to decide if the design suits you.

Value for Money: Good Despite Questionable Marketing Tactics
At €289 (“promotional” price), this chair provides excellent value for money. However, I dislike Sihoo’s marketing strategy, displaying a “regular” price of €679 to give the illusion of an exceptional discount, even though the promotional price seems permanent. This “clickbait” tactic appears petty and unnecessary, given the intrinsic quality of the product.
The chair comes with a solid warranty, but since I haven’t needed to contact support (even for the armrest issue), I can’t comment on the after-sales service quality.
Practical Considerations: Quietness and Breathability
The chair makes no noise during adjustments or movements, a feature appreciated in a working environment. Thanks to its mesh covering, there’s no feeling of heat or sweating even after prolonged use.
Final Verdict
The Sihoo Doro S100 is an excellent ergonomic chair combining comfort, durability, and multiple adjustment options at a reasonable price. Its strengths are undoubtedly its long-term comfort, sturdiness, and ease of assembly.
I would especially recommend it to people spending long hours at their desks, particularly remote workers and gamers. For those who appreciate its futuristic design, it’s a bonus; for others, comfort will quickly override any aesthetic concerns.
If Sihoo could improve the reliability of the armrest supports and abandon their misleading marketing strategy, this chair would be nearly perfect. Nevertheless, compared to other ergonomic chairs often sold at significantly higher prices, the Doro S100 represents an excellent investment for your health and daily comfort.
