Silent Hill: Townfall Medical Center guide—vitals, transfusion, X-rays

The Medical Center becomes a real progression wall when it starts layering several clinical puzzles on top of one another: infusion dosing, five blood bags, the transfusion door’s rotating blood-type paths, patient vitals, and two separate X-rays. Treat each station as its own job. The key inputs are 70/40 mmHg, 162 bpm, 80% SpO₂, X-ray-room code 7103, then Skull: 3 kV / 7 mA / 1 second followed by Chest: 7 kV / 3 mA / 1.2 seconds.

Important: collecting the five blood bags does not clear the first major blocker by itself. You still need to match every bag to the correct patient using the condition and gender clues beside the transfusion equipment, then build continuous blood-type lines through the rotating-ring mechanism.

Medical Center Puzzle Order and Exact Inputs

Keep this sheet in mind while moving through St. Amelia. The Medical Center revisits several rooms and makes it easy to confuse a surgery code, a dosage-table result, and an X-ray dial setting.

Prepare the Infusion Pumps First

The infusion sequence uses a patient weight of 88 kg. The game expects you to read the Medication Dosage Table rather than guessing from the drug labels, because the dosage numbers themselves are not the pump-rate settings.

Get Into the Records Room

The locked Records Room is on the other side of the Surgery room floor. Enter 2605 on its keypad, then use the computer and Medication Dosage Table to convert the required drug dosages for the 88 kg patient.

• Hydroxalene: 3 mg dosage, set the infusion rate to 7.
• Tensobromide: 11 mg dosage, set the infusion rate to 8.
• Dextracyclate: 2.5 mg dosage, set the infusion rate to 15.

Load the correct drug into its pump, enter the matching rate, and prepare all three pumps before trying to activate the setup. Turning on one pump early does not finish the treatment sequence.

Start Every Prepared Pump

Once the three drug pumps are configured, use the small white control machine on the tray beside the noticeboard. Turn on the system there, then press Ready Pump for each individual pump. Missing one confirmation leaves the sequence stalled even when all three rates are correct.

Keep the numbers separate: the 7103 door code is used for the Surgery/X-ray route on Zoe’s Medical Center sequence, while 2605 is specifically the Records Room keypad for the Medication Dosage Table. Don’t carry one into the other by accident.

Find All Five Blood Bags for the Transfusion Door

The transfusion route requires five blood bags. You will loop through several wards, use master keys, and operate release wheels before the final chamber gives you enough information to assign the bags. Do not start placing bags as soon as you find one; the charts in the main puzzle room provide the actual matching rules.

Matthew Clark’s Blood Bag Route

Matthew Clark’s bag starts in Ward D, Room 02, beside the elevator. Activating the lift sends the item down into Ward P. Take the Ward P master key, unlock Room 03, and collect the bag there.

Matthew’s tape mentions that he has trouble speaking. In the transfusion chamber, that symptom matches the patient chart in the third position up on the left-hand side. This is the sort of clue the room expects you to use; a bag label alone is not enough.

Lesley Greer’s Blood Bag Route

For Lesley Greer’s bag, search the south side of Ward W and take the Ward W master key from Room 04. Use it on Room 13, then climb the ladder to reach the previously inaccessible section of Ward S. Lesley’s bag is in that isolated area.

George McEwan’s Placement Clue

George McEwan’s identifying condition is burns across his body. Once you reach the main transfusion room, his blood bag goes into the first slot on the right-hand side. The environment is deliberately grim here, but the condition descriptions are the fastest way to lock down the correct placement.

Continue using the master keys and release-wheel routes to recover the remaining bags. The chamber has ten visible bag positions, although only five slots are empty. Those five blanks are the only placements that matter.

Match the Blood Bags to the Patient Charts

Place each bag according to the patient’s medical condition and gender shown on the adjacent charts. Names such as Alan Duncan, Sarah Watson, Matthew Clark, Lesley Greer, Hannah McGregor, and George McEwan are useful starting points, but the charts are the final check when two labels or notes feel similar.

• Match the bag to the chart’s stated condition before considering the blood type.
• Use the gender listed on the chart to eliminate an otherwise plausible placement.
• Check that the slot is one of the five empty positions; the pre-filled slots are scenery and puzzle context.
• Recheck Matthew and George if the mechanism does not react, because their clues are especially easy to misread while moving between wards.

The final lines feeding the Ordell centerpiece must connect Hannah McGregor (HM), Thomas Ferguson (TF), and Sarah Watson (SW). If all five bags appear correctly placed but the door stays locked, inspect these three line connections before retracing every ward.

Solve the Blood-Type Ring Door

Simon’s wristband identifies his blood type as A positive. The sidewall lists the compatible donor set for Simon: O negative, O positive, A negative, and A positive. That information narrows the blood-type portion of the door, but the mechanism still has to be physically routed correctly.

Rotate the blood-type rings until every selected type creates an unbroken straight path from the labeled sidewall blood types into the central mechanism. The puzzle does not accept a ring that points at the correct label while its path bends, dead-ends, or breaks before reaching the center.

• Start with the sidewall labels in this order: O−, O+, A−, A+.
• Rotate one ring at a time and follow the line all the way inward before touching the next ring.
• Prioritize continuity over visual symmetry; a tidy-looking arrangement can still leave one path interrupted.
• Confirm the Ordell lines for HM, TF, and SW after finishing the blood-type connections.

The exact final orientation of every individual ring is not established by the Medical Center’s available route details, so there is no reliable one-line “turn each dial to this position” answer to paste over the puzzle. The dependable solve is the path rule: every compatible blood-type route must remain continuous from the sidewall to the center.

Enter the Correct Patient Vitals

After clearing the transfusion section, use the intercom on the wall to the patient’s right to begin the exchange with Dr. Glenn. The response order matters. Inspect the usable monitor, select Respond, and give the three values in the sequence requested.

1. Report blood pressure as 70/40 mmHg.
2. Report pulse as 162 beats per minute.
3. Report blood oxygen as 80% SpO₂.

The equipment-overview computer gives the shortcut for finding the right monitor: disregard systolic readings outside the 70-110 mmHg range. The useful display is the one showing a systolic value in the early 70s, which leads to the required 70/40 reading.

A common error is to treat 70/40 as two separate monitor answers. It is one blood-pressure reading: 70 systolic and 40 diastolic. The pulse and oxygen values are separate responses afterward.

Complete the Skull and Chest X-Rays

Use 7103 on the adjacent X-ray-room door after receiving it via the pager. Inside, turn on the monitor and computer, then align the camera overlay with the marked squares around the target anatomy. The alignment must be confirmed before the X-ray machine will count the exposure correctly.

Skull Scan Settings

Set the site to Skull. Move the camera until the computer shows the green message “patient skull — aligned”. Return to the machine and enter 3 kV, 7 mA, and Time 1. Switch the machine on, then press the green X-ray control.

Chest Scan Settings

After the skull exposure, change the site to Chest and repeat the overlay alignment around the patient’s chest. Set the machine to 7 kV, 3 mA, and Time 1.2, then power it on and trigger the second exposure.

Do the skull first. The intended order is skull, then chest. When you switch scans, reset every dial to the chest values—7 kV / 3 mA / 1.2 seconds—instead of carrying over the skull’s 3 kV / 7 mA / 1 second.

Medical Center Mistakes That Waste the Most Time

• Confusing 2605 and 7103: 2605 opens the Records Room; 7103 is used for the Surgery/X-ray route.
• Entering drug dosages as pump rates: use the 88 kg Medication Dosage Table results: 7, 8, and 15.
• Stopping after finding five blood bags: every bag still needs a chart-matched patient slot.
• Using Simon’s A+ status as a dial answer: the blood-type door demands complete, connected paths for the compatible blood types.
• Choosing the first monitor that looks alarming: filter blood-pressure candidates through the 70-110 mmHg systolic rule.
• Setting X-ray dials before alignment: the computer confirmation is mandatory; numbers alone do not complete the scan.
• Leaving the X-ray on Skull settings: the chest exposure requires 7 kV, 3 mA, and 1.2 seconds.
