At 4K on Ray Tracing Ultra using DLSS Performance, it hit 60 FPS. Enabling frame generation pushed that to 97 FPS at 2x and 167 FPS at 4x. The issue is honesty: the 9800X3D gives this PC an elite gaming CPU, while the RTX 5070 places the whole build a tier below uncompromising 4K ray-tracing performance.

The case makes upgrades feel like a chore

In metric terms that is 465 x 239 x 529 mm, which tells the same story a little more bluntly: this is a fairly slim mid-tower trying to look elegant while housing serious hardware. It uses a curved tempered-glass side panel and a side-intake airflow layout, and Skytech built it to support big parts, including long GPUs. So the problem here is not that the case cannot fit enthusiast hardware. The problem is that it fits enthusiast hardware in a way that makes the interior feel busy the moment you want to do anything with it.

That density matters because a prebuilt should offer convenience beyond day one. The limited clearance around the GPU, PCIe slots, M.2 storage area, front-panel connectors, and PSU shroud makes changes more deliberate than they should be. Adding a capture card, routing a new power cable, swapping the graphics card, or reaching an M.2 slot near the GPU can require careful planning and cable work. None of those jobs are impossible. They simply do not match the easy ownership pitch attached to a premium ready-to-play PC.

The side-intake design is worth calling out because it explains why this case is more than a generic cramped box. Skytech uses a 360mm single-frame side intake aimed toward the graphics card, and that layout makes sense in a narrow chassis built around a powerful GPU. In practice, what owners will notice is not some dramatic thermal disaster. What they will notice is that the airflow-focused packaging eats into hand space. A case can be desk-friendly and still be annoying to work inside, and the Blaze 5 lands exactly there.

The exterior layout has the same contradiction. The controls and front I/O live at the top-front edge, which is convenient when the case sits on the floor and you want to plug in a headset or USB device without kneeling behind it. Put the Blaze 5 on a high desk and that same placement becomes less natural. Rear USB-A, USB-C, and audio connections are present through the motherboard and case combination, but a dense rear cable area reduces their friendliness for larger accessories. Frequent external-drive users, capture-device owners, and anyone rotating display or audio hardware will notice the difference between “ports exist” and “ports are easy to use.” Skytech should have treated that distinction more seriously.

The solid front frame and side ventilation preserve the Blaze 5’s clean visual identity, but they also make front-area access and airflow tinkering less straightforward than on a mesh-first chassis built with hobbyists in mind. This is a case designed to arrive looking composed. It is less good at making its owner feel invited to poke around later.

RGB is a feature until it becomes maintenance

A gaming PC at this price should look like it belongs beside a modern monitor setup. Skytech loses points because the exact control stack is not obvious during setup. The issue is that it is not immediately clear which app, hub, or motherboard utility is responsible for every lit zone.

Compact RGB prebuilts often route multiple lighting zones through hubs, and that arrangement can create sync annoyances or simply force more software management than buyers expect. Full brightness can also create reflections and glare around a monitor in a dark room, which directly works against games built around deep shadows and high-contrast scenes. A system designed for visual spectacle should make dimming or disabling that spectacle painless.

This is where the Blaze 5 feels overly focused on the first impression. RGB becomes a benefit when control is simple, settings persist, and the case gives you enough room to understand what is connected where. In a cramped build with an unclear lighting-control experience, it becomes another task for the owner to manage. Again, not a crisis. Just friction. At $2,299, friction is the wrong surprise.
