Subterra Codes (July 2026): How to Redeem & Every Active Reward

Subterra has no code box in the settings menu, which is why half the players who look for one decide the game doesn’t support codes at all. Redemption happens at an NPC on the surface — Chrysos, standing to the right of the spawn gate near the bridge behind the mine entrance. Walk into his interaction radius, type the code exactly, hit Claim Code, and the reward lands instantly.

As of late July 2026, five codes are confirmed working across the trackers that actually re-check them: 100KMEMBERS, FEATURED, 1YEAR, 30KLIKES and RELEASE. Everything else circulating in videos and copy-paste lists is either unconfirmed or dead. Below is the working set, the rewards, the redemption path, and the order to claim things in so you don’t burn a two-hour EXP timer on a five-minute login.

Active Subterra codes (verified July 2026)

These five appear on the most recently re-checked lists, including Dexerto’s 30 June 2026 update, and are cross-confirmed by at least two other trackers each.

One correction worth flagging, because a lot of lists (including our own earlier version of this page) got it wrong: RELEASE was widely reported as expired in spring 2026, but it is back on the verified-active lists as of the June/July re-checks. Enter it. Also note that 100KMEMBERS is the current group-membership milestone — if you have an old page telling you to enter 10KMEMBERS or 25KMEMBERS, those are two and four milestones behind.

Codes with mixed reporting

These aren’t confirmed dead, but only one tracker still lists them and none of the June/July re-checks include them. Entering them costs nothing, so try them once and move on:

• UPDATE — 140 Chrono Shards. Listed as working in a June 2026 tracker, absent from the 30 June verified set.
• UPDATE1.4.50 — 280 Chrono Shards, per a May 2026 list only.
• 25KMEMBERS, 10KMEMBERS, HOLIDAYS — same situation: May 2026 sources only, superseded by the 100K milestone.

If any of these land, treat it as a bonus. If they’re rejected, that’s expiry, not a mistake on your end.

Expired Subterra codes

These still circulate on recycled lists and thumbnail-bait videos. They date from the 2025 patch-and-event wave and appear on no 2026 tracker:

• LUNAREVENTS (was 280 Chrono Shards)
• 8KMEMBERS (was 280 Chrono Shards)
• UPDATE1.3 (was 140 Chrono Shards)

The pattern is obvious once you see it: Subterra codes are tied to patch tags, like counts, visit counts and group-membership milestones. Every one of those is a moving target, so anything referencing a number lower than the current milestone is dead by definition.

How to redeem codes in Subterra

There is no Roblox settings-menu path here. You physically walk to the NPC.

1. Launch Subterra and finish loading into the world.
2. Stay on the surface — you cannot redeem from inside the mine.
3. From spawn, look to the right of the spawn gate, toward the bridge just behind the mine entrance.
4. Find Chrysos, the Codes NPC. Most guides just call him “the Codes NPC” — same character.
5. Step into the circular interaction zone around him. The code box opens automatically; you don’t need to click him.
6. Type or paste one code, exactly as written. Capitalisation matters.
7. Press the green Claim Code button.

Rewards drop into your inventory immediately. Each code is single-use per account.

Claim order: currency now, boosts later

The rewards split cleanly into two types, and treating them the same is how people waste the good ones.

Claim on any login: 1YEAR, 100KMEMBERS, RELEASE

Chrono Shards, Gold and potions don’t run on a timer. Grab them the moment you remember, even on a two-minute login, because the risk here is code expiry rather than wasted uptime. 1YEAR‘s 1,400 Shards and 100KMEMBERS‘ 420 Shards plus potion stack are the two biggest permanent gains in the pool.

Save for a real session: 30KLIKES, FEATURED

30KLIKES is two hours of Double EXP and it starts ticking the instant you claim it. Fire it at the start of a planned mining run when you can actually stay logged in. FEATURED is the one to pair with an aggressive dig: 32 TNT Blocks blow through dense sections while the one-hour multiplier converts that speed into levels instead of just ore.

If you’re claiming everything in one sitting, the efficient order is: 1YEAR → 100KMEMBERS → RELEASE → FEATURED → 30KLIKES, with the last two fired as you head down.

Why your Subterra code isn’t working

Five causes cover almost every failure, and four of them are mechanical:

• It expired. Overwhelmingly the most likely cause for milestone, patch and event codes.
• Wrong capitalisation. featured is not FEATURED.
• Missing punctuation. A code written CRASHFIX? fails without the question mark.
• Wrong location. You must be at the surface NPC, not in a menu and not underground.
• Already redeemed. One use per account, permanently.

Diagnostic order: stand at Chrysos, retype 1YEAR by hand, and see if it lands. If a known-good code fails in the same session as your problem code, the issue is your input, server state or an account limit — not the list.

Where new Subterra codes come from

Polyworks Studio issues codes on milestones, not randomly. Anniversary dates, like-count targets, group-membership thresholds, featured placement and update tags are the entire pattern. That means the next code is far more likely to be something like 40KLIKES or a new patch label than a hidden string someone “found.” If a video promises a secret code but won’t write it out in the description, it isn’t one.

On versions: the newest build referenced anywhere in current code coverage is the 1.4.50 update from around May 2026. Subterra doesn’t publish a public changelog that trackers mirror, so the exact live build number in late July 2026 is unverified — treat any page claiming a precise current version with scepticism.
