First, identify which items count as silver

Open your inventory and look for the white chalice icon. That icon identifies silver items: brooches, valuables, and other contraband that standard merchants will not purchase. There is no benefit to dragging these items from one ordinary shopkeeper to another. Regular vendors can take weapons, gear, materials, and junk, but silver stays outside their economy because the game treats the trade as illegal. Save your silver until the Svartrau shop is unlocked.

Find the Silver Trader in southwestern Svartrau

From Coen’s home region in Laslea, travel south to Svartrau City, the dense central settlement on the map. The trader operates in the southwestern side of the city, around the Neustadt / Altenmarkt district, close to the western entrance. 2. Follow the road straight ahead after entering the city.
3. Take the first right-hand alley.
4. Watch the map for a question mark or a silver chalice-style icon; the marker can change as your progression advances.

Do not assume the absence of an obvious merchant stall means you are in the wrong district. The trader’s location is easy to miss because the building looks like part of Svartrau’s ordinary streetscape. The interior conversation is the important checkpoint.

Use the dialogue that opens the silver shop

Speak to the NPC and choose “I know you trade in silver.” This is the dialogue option that turns the encounter into an actual merchant interaction.
