Why The Forge Codes Matter Right Now

After sinking a couple dozen hours into The Forge grinding ores and praying for a good race roll, I eventually realized how important codes are. Missing just one reroll code early on meant being stuck with a mediocre race while everyone else was flexing busted passives and flying through the Crimson Sakura pre-update grind.

The headline right now is simple: the latest compensation code, DELAYCOMPENSATION, hands you 20 Race Rerolls plus 1 XP Totem. Alongside that, newer codes like SORRYFORDELAYY and CRIMSONSAKURA stack even more free spins on top. Used smartly, that’s enough to completely reroll your account’s race situation before the Crimson Sakura expansion really ramps up.

This guide breaks down every currently active code, shows exactly how to redeem them (on PC and mobile), explains why codes sometimes fail, and – most importantly – how to squeeze the most value out of those rerolls and your XP Totem.

All Active The Forge Codes (February 2026)

Here are the codes I’ve personally redeemed recently that are still working as of late February 2026. Remember that codes can disappear without much warning, so don’t sit on these for too long.

  • CRIMSONSAKURA15 Race Rerolls
Tied to the Crimson Sakura expansion. Great way to prep for new content if your race is holding you back.
  • SORRYFORDELAYY10 Race Rerolls
Another compensation-style code. Perfect to chain with the others for a big reroll session.
  • DELAYCOMPENSATION20 Race Rerolls + 1 XP Totem
Massive value. In my experience this one has an explicit expiry around February 25, 2026, so use it sooner rather than later.

A couple of important things I noticed while testing these:

  • Capitalization doesn’t matter – typing delaycompensation worked the same as DELAYCOMPENSATION.
  • Spaces do matter – an extra space before or after the code can make it fail.
  • No level or group requirements – I redeemed them on a fresh level 1 alt with no issues.

If a code is valid and hasn’t expired, you’ll see a success message and the items will appear instantly in your reroll total / inventory. If it’s dead or mistyped, you’ll get a generic error along the lines of “code doesn’t exist.”

Expired The Forge Codes (For Reference)

Don’t waste time trying these: they used to work but now return an error in-game. I tested a bunch of them just to be sure.

Some community sites and wikis still list a few of these as “working,” especially old milestone codes like FORGE2M and FREESPINS. In-game they’re currently dead, so always trust the code bar result over any external list.

How to Redeem Codes in The Forge

The redemption process is simple once you know where to look, but I actually spent my first evening clicking every UI icon except the one that mattered. Here’s the exact path so you don’t repeat that.

  • Step 1 – Open Settings
In the main game screen, tap or click the small gear icon in the top-left corner. This opens the Settings menu.
  • Step 2 – Scroll to the bottom
In the Settings window, scroll all the way down. The code input is on the bottom-most line.
  • Step 3 – Find the code box
You’ll see a field that says something like Type here. This is where you enter your code.
  • Step 4 – Enter the code
Type or paste your code (for example, DELAYCOMPENSATION) into that box. Capitalization doesn’t matter, but avoid extra spaces.
  • Step 5 – Press Claim
Hit the Claim button right next to the field. If the code is valid, you’ll get a confirmation and the rewards are applied instantly.

On mobile, I found it safer to type codes manually rather than paste from outside apps – sometimes my phone would sneak in a space at the end and the game would reject the code. On PC, copy–paste works fine as long as you triple-check for hidden spaces.

Race Rerolls: When to Use (and Not Use) Your Free Spins

The Forge’s races – human, goblin, dragonborn and others – affect your health, damage, mining speed, and more. The temptation is to blow every reroll chasing a “perfect” race, but that’s where I wasted the most time.

Here’s the reroll strategy that finally worked for me:

  • Use your first batch early
Don’t sit on all of your rerolls. Having a solid race from the start makes mining and combat way smoother. I usually spend 10–20 spins right away to escape truly bad rolls.
  • Know what “good enough” looks like
If you hit a race with clearly useful bonuses (better damage, extra HP, or noticeably faster mining), consider keeping it instead of burning through every spin. A good, consistent race beats endlessly chasing a tiny upgrade.
  • Save a few for Crimson Sakura
With a new island, boss, and balance changes coming in the Crimson Sakura expansion, I’m holding back a handful of rerolls. If a future patch buffs or nerfs specific races, you’ll be glad you still have spins to adapt.
  • Don’t reroll mid-session unless you have to
I made the mistake of rerolling during a great mining session and ended up with a worse race right before a rare ore streak. I now plan my rerolls between big grinds, not in the middle of them.

Think of your free rerolls as a limited resource to smooth your progression, not as a casino. Codes like CRIMSONSAKURA and DELAYCOMPENSATION give you enough spins to be picky, but not reckless.

XP Totem Tips – Don’t Waste Your Biggest Boost

The DELAYCOMPENSATION code’s sleeper MVP is the XP Totem. It’s a one-time consumable that noticeably speeds up your leveling while it’s active. The mistake I made was popping it “just to see what it does” when I only had 20 minutes to play.

Here’s how I recommend using it instead:

  • Combine it with weekend events
The Forge regularly runs weekend mini-events that add global boosts (extra mining luck or damage). If there’s any kind of XP or progression-boosting event, that’s prime XP Totem time.
  • Only use it when you can grind
Block out at least an hour (ideally more) where you know you can focus on mining, fighting, and questing. Activating it right before you log off is basically throwing it away.
  • Pair it with better gear
I waited until I’d forged a decent mid-game weapon and armor set. That made every boosted kill and mining swing more valuable.
  • Stay on content that gives consistent XP
During the Totem window, I avoid wandering and experimentation. I stick to a loop of enemies or ores that I know are efficient XP, even if they’re not the most “exciting” thing to do.

If you only take one thing away from this guide: don’t pop your XP Totem out of curiosity. Treat it like a mini event you schedule for yourself.

Troubleshooting: Why Your Code Isn’t Working

I’ve run into just about every error the code box can throw. Here are the most common causes and what to do about them.

  • The code has expired
This is the number one reason. If you get a message similar to “this code doesn’t exist” and you’re sure you typed it correctly, assume it’s expired. Time-limited ones like DELAYCOMPENSATION are especially easy to miss.
  • Hidden spaces or characters
Copy–pasting from Discord, browsers, or notes apps can add invisible spaces. If a code fails, try retyping it manually in all caps with no spaces at the start or end.
  • Using an unverified code list
Some sites don’t clearly mark expired codes. If something like FREESPINS won’t work, cross-check with a fresher list or the game’s own announcements.
  • Temporary server hiccups
On rare occasions I’ve had a code fail, rejoined a different server, tried again, and it went through. If you’re confident the code is active, hop to another server and retry once.

The good news: The Forge doesn’t seem to lock codes behind level or group requirements based on my testing. If a code is active and correctly typed, it should work on any account.

How to Catch New Codes and Crimson Sakura Updates

After missing a couple of early codes, I changed how I track updates. The Forge’s devs don’t follow a strict schedule, but there is a pattern:

  • Big updates and expansions
Codes like CRIMSONSAKURA are clearly tied to major content drops. Whenever you see “Expansion,” “Island,” or “Boss” in the update notes, check for a new code.
  • Like and player milestones
A lot of the expired codes were celebrating likes or player counts (100K!, 400K!, etc.). When the game hits a new round number on its Roblox page, it’s worth looking for a matching code.
  • Compensation after delays or bugs
Names like SORRYFORDELAYY and SORRYFORBUGS say it all. If the game has downtime or a rocky patch, keep an eye out for apology codes.
  • Official Discord and socials
The most reliable way I’ve found to grab codes early is joining the game’s Discord and watching the announcements channel. The Roblox game description is also often updated with the latest code.

My routine now is simple: every time I log in for a serious mining session – especially around weekends or update days – I check for new announcements, punch in any fresh codes, and only then start farming.

Wrapping Up: Get Your Rerolls in Before Crimson Sakura

If you’re reading this around the Crimson Sakura expansion window, you’re in a sweet spot. Codes like DELAYCOMPENSATION, SORRYFORDELAYY, and CRIMSONSAKURA together give you a huge pile of free race rerolls and at least one powerful XP Totem to turbocharge your mining and combat grind.

Redeem the codes as soon as you can, use your rerolls intelligently instead of chasing perfection forever, and save that XP Totem for a focused grind session – ideally during a weekend boost or right as you dive into the new Crimson Sakura island and boss.

If I could redo my first week with The Forge, I’d start by grabbing every active code, locking in a strong race early, and planning my XP Totem session around upcoming events. Do that, and you’ll hit the new content in far better shape than I did.
