Act 5 of The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin moves the story from the Fairy King’s Forest into Ferzen and its mines, tying together Abyss Flower purification, stealth, and restoration puzzles. This walkthrough follows the full sequence from meeting Howzer at Aquatree Lake to purifying the Abyss Flower near Waralga and riding out to the Sand Valley.
Structurally, the act breaks down into four main segments:
Fairy King’s Forest to Ferzen town and the first Abyss Flower
Dreyfus investigation and the stealth tailing section
Fraudrin’s boss fight in Ferzen
Descent into the mines, Gorra/Walker sequence, Waralga, and final Abyss Flower purification
The sections below detail objective locations, recommended approaches to stealth and combat, and how to handle the mine’s Restoration and cart mechanics efficiently.
From Fairy King’s Forest to Ferzen
Act 5 begins after purifying an Abyss Flower with King. Your next waypoint takes you north through the Fairy King’s Forest to meet Howzer.
Step 1 – Meet Howzer at Aquatree Lake
Head toward the Aquatree Lake Warp Point in the Fairy King’s Forest.
Howzer is standing near another Abyss Flower at this location.
If your Purification power is inactive, interact with the nearby constellation stone to swap the Book of Stars to the Purification ability.
Use Purification on the Abyss Flower to clear the corruption and progress the quest.
Step 2 – Cross Dragon’s Grave and Help Benjer’s Family
Follow the main road north until you enter the Dragon’s Grave region.
At the crossroads, turn east toward the marked objective.
You’ll encounter a family being attacked by a Wild Dragon.
The Wild Dragon is a mid-tier encounter: it favors lunges and straightforward breath attacks.
Stay mobile and circle to its flanks; most of its moves are frontal cones.
Dash sideways rather than backward when it rears back for breath; the hitbox is narrow but deep.
Use ranged skills during its recovery animations after big lunges.
Defeating it triggers dialogue with Benjer, who explains that his family fled Ferzen after monsters emerged from the mines. This information sets up your next target: Ferzen Entrance.
Step 3 – Reach Ferzen Entrance
Continue northeast following your quest marker.
Activate the Ferzen Entrance Warp Point as soon as you arrive; you’ll use this later for backtracking.
Talk to the nearby traveler who mentions a Holy Knight guarding the town.
Stay on the main road to enter Ferzen proper. Your next key location is the town square.
Ferzen and the Dreyfus Investigation
Step 4 – Town Square Confrontation
In Ferzen, head straight to the town square.
A cutscene plays: a man named Kilian is warning the crowd that the Holy Knight is more dangerous than the mine monsters.
Dreyfus appears, silencing the argument; speak to him when prompted.
Dreyfus explains that he failed to slay the monster in the mine but sealed it inside. His behavior is suspicious but the game lets him walk away for now.
Step 5 – Talk to Kilian
After Dreyfus leaves, locate Kilian nearby and speak with him.
He reveals that he saw Dreyfus drain the life from guards, reinforcing that something is wrong.
This updates your objective to investigate the mines from Ferzen’s station.
Step 6 – Reach the Mine Lift Station
From town, go to the northeast edge to find the mine station with three lift platforms.
Step on the left-hand lift; it automatically rises to the tunnel entrance level.
At the top, immediately activate the nearby Warp Point (Tunnel Entrance) for fast access later.
Stealth Section: Tailing Dreyfus to the Mine
The first major failure point in Act 5 is the stealth segment where you tail Dreyfus. Detection simply resets the sequence, but repeated failures waste time. The game checks both line-of-sight and sound, so controlling distance and movement speed is key.

Core rules for the tailing segment
Do not hold your sprint input when close to Dreyfus; walking is the default safe speed.
Maintain a medium distance: if you lag too far behind and lose sight, the game can also fail the tail.
Whenever Dreyfus stops to scan his surroundings, break line-of-sight behind cover.
Practical route and cover points
Follow Dreyfus from the Tunnel Entrance Warp Point as he moves toward the mine.
Use crates, support beams, and rock outcrops as visual cover whenever he pauses.
He periodically turns around; if you see his animation slow and his head begin to rotate, immediately move behind the closest object.
Near the mine’s entrance, there is a large rock on the path’s right-hand side. Move behind it and stay there for the final check.
Once you successfully remain hidden behind the large rock, a cutscene shows miners driven out by monsters and Dreyfus dispatching them. This ends the stealth segment.
After the cutscene, speak to Dreyfus, then to the miners. They mention the Liones soldiers inside the mine are bedridden as if their life has been drained. Your next stop is back in town with Forger.
Fraudrin of Selflessness Boss Fight
Step 7 – Confrontation in Ferzen
Return to Ferzen and go to the area near the large forge to find Forger.
A scene plays: Dreyfus attempts to attack Forger but appears to fight internally against another presence.
The mark of the Ten Commandments appears; Fraudrin is revealed as possessing Dreyfus.
Shortly afterward, screams from the town square trigger the boss encounter: Fraudrin of Selflessness.
This is a significant difficulty spike in Act 5. Entering under-leveled or with un-upgraded weapons makes the fight considerably slower and riskier.
Recommended preparation
Upgrade your primary weapons at least one or two tiers relative to your previous act.
Ensure your team has:
One frontline character with reliable dodges and mobility.
One ranged damage dealer to exploit openings.
At least one support/healer with sustain or mitigation skills.
Stock basic healing items; Fraudrin’s damage spikes can punish minor mistakes.

Wide melee swings: telegraphed by a clear arm windup; dodge diagonally through or away rather than blocking everything, to conserve resources.
Linear energy blasts: he often fires straight-line projectiles; step sideways instead of backpedaling.
Area pressure: he may chain attacks that force you to reposition quickly; avoid getting cornered by using the edges of the square for lateral movement.
Fight strategy
Stay at mid-range by default. Close in only after he finishes a big swing or blast sequence.
Rotate your characters:
Use a sturdy melee unit for brief, safe combos after his long animations.
Swap to a ranged character when Fraudrin strings together attacks you’d rather dodge than punish up close.
Save your highest-damage skills and ultimates for windows after his heaviest, most telegraphed attacks, when his recovery time is longest.
Avoid over-committing on combos. Two or three hits after a dodge are usually safe; more risks eating a counter.
Once you deplete his health bar, Fraudrin retreats instead of dying. Story-wise, this confirms that the Dreyfus you’ve seen is a version dragged from the past under Fraudrin’s control; the present-day Dreyfus remains missing. With the town safe for now, Forger directs you back to the mines to address the source of the corruption.

Descending into the Mines: Purification and Restoration
Step 8 – Reactivate the Mine Lift
After speaking with Forger again, fast travel to the Tunnel Entrance Warp Point.
The main lift deeper into the mines is choked by corruption.
Locate the nearby Purification constellation stone and switch the Book of Stars to Purification if needed.
Cleanse the corruption blocking the lift to restore its functionality.
Enter the lift and interact with its switch to descend.
From this point, you’ll encounter numerous mine monsters on the way to the next quest marker.
Traversal approach
If your level is high relative to local enemies, clear groups to farm materials and mastery experience.
If you’re on-level or under-leveled, it is viable to dash past most random mobs and head straight for the objective markers, only fighting when paths are blocked.
Continue deeper until a short cutscene introduces a new area with a broken cart and an unusual Walker.
Step 9 – Restore the Mine Cart
In the cart chamber, clear any nearby enemies, then speak to the Walker hiding behind the cart platform.
Move onto the platform next to the broken cart.
Activate the Restoration constellation stone to switch the Book of Stars to the Restoration ability.
Use Restoration to scan each broken component of the cart until all highlighted pieces are restored.
Once repaired, interact with the cart and board it together with the Walker to start the ride.
The cart ride is long but straightforward, delivering you to the deeper section of the mine where the Gorra are being exploited.
Gorra Rescue and Tata Komi
Step 10 – Free the Gorra from the Walkers
On arrival, you’ll see Walkers forcing Gorra to mine.
Defeat all the Walkers in this initial area to free the Gorra.
The rescued Gorra ask you to meet their leader, Tata Komi, and disguise you as a Walker to move safely through the area.
With the disguise active, most standard Walkers will not attack on sight, allowing a clearer path to objectives.
Step 11 – Reach Tata Komi’s Base
Follow the quest marker while talking to Gorra along the way; they give simple guidance and flavor but the marker itself is sufficient to navigate.
At Tata Komi’s base, speak with them to get a clearer picture of the mine’s hierarchy and the role of Waralga, leader of the Walkers here.
During the conversation, a Gorra rushes in to report an attack by Waralga. This leads into the large Walker skirmish.

Step 12 – Defend the Gorra from Walker Forces
Follow Tata Komi out of the base to the attack site.
Waralga appears with a group of Walkers but retreats, leaving his subordinates to fight.
Your immediate objective is to defeat at least nine Walkers in this encounter.
To manage this efficiently:
Group Walkers together and use area-of-effect skills to hit several at once.
Watch for overlapping melee patterns; stagger or disable one when possible to avoid being surrounded.
Keep a mobile character active to reposition quickly when multiple Walkers line up attacks.
After clearing the required number, Tata Komi deduces that Waralga has likely moved to the Abandoned Mines deeper inside. Your path updates toward a locked gate.
Abandoned Mines Route to Waralga
Step 13 – Obtain the Gate Key
Follow the quest marker to a Walker guarding a gate.
Defeat this Walker to obtain the key.
Use the key on the locked gate to access the Abandoned Mines interior.
Step 14 – Platform Room Shortcut
Inside, you’ll encounter multiple Walkers. Clear them or move carefully past them toward the door on the right-hand side of the area.
Open this door to enter a tall chamber with several <strongmoving platforms<="" strong=""> travelling up and down.
Step onto a platform that is moving downward.
Watch the wall as you descend; roughly partway down, there is a side cliff/ledge extending from the rock.
Drop from the platform onto this ledge instead of riding all the way down. This shortcut path leads directly to Waralga’s arena.
Follow the path from the ledge into the final chamber, where the Abyss Flower is close to blooming and Waralga confronts you.
Waralga Boss Fight and Abyss Flower Purification
In this room, an Abyss Flower has nearly fully bloomed, corrupting the surroundings. Waralga guards it as the Walker leader. The environmental layout is fairly open, so positioning decisions matter more than cover use.
Waralga’s attack profile
Short-range frontal combos: Most melee strings hit only in front of him. Staying at his flanks or rear significantly reduces risk.
Linear ranged attacks: Waralga occasionally fires straight-line projectiles. These are easy to avoid with lateral dashes.
Area pressure (sand-themed attacks): He can create zones of damage around or ahead of him. Visual cues on the ground usually appear shortly before impact; leave marked areas quickly.
Recommended positioning and team roles
Assign a mobile melee character to stay close to Waralga’s sides or back. Their job is to punish his frontal attacks by attacking from angles he rarely hits.
Use a ranged damage dealer to maintain consistent pressure whenever your melee must disengage.
Keep a support/healer slightly off to the side, not directly behind you, so they are less likely to be clipped by line attacks aimed at your current active character.
Fight execution
Open by circling to Waralga’s back. Observe one full attack cycle before committing to extended combos.
When he starts a frontal combo, move diagonally past his shoulder into his back arc and land a few hits, then disengage.
Side-dodge his ranged shots; avoid rolling backward, as their length can still catch you if you mis-time the dodge.
If he telegraphs a wider area attack, watch the floor for corruption or sand effects and exit the zone immediately, then re-engage from the opposite side.
Save burst skills for moments after his heaviest animations, when he pauses briefly before resetting stance.
Once you reduce Waralga’s health sufficiently, he escapes instead of dying, leaving you alone with the Abyss Flower.
Step 15 – Purify the Abyss Flower and Exit the Mines
Approach the near-bloomed Abyss Flower in the arena.
If needed, re-activate the Purification ability using the local constellation stone.
Use Purification on the Abyss Flower to cleanse the corruption and stabilize the area.
After purification, speak with Tata Komi again; they explain that Waralga’s brother has seized control of the Sand Valley, homeland of the Gorra.
Board the mine cart one final time to ride out toward the Sand Valley. The cart ride serves as the transition and marks the completion of Act 5: Mine Invaders.
