Act 7 in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin takes place in the suddenly desertified village of Dalmally and wraps up with an important mobility upgrade: turning Hawk into a stronger mount. The act is tightly structured and can be cleared in about 25-40 minutes if you move efficiently and know where each objective is.
At a high level, Act 7 asks you to:
The key pain points are usually the keepsake search and understanding that Golgius is not a boss fight in this act, as well as how to correctly trigger Hawk’s mount upgrade. The sections below break everything into concrete steps with specific locations and checks.
You can complete Act 7 with a fairly standard mid-game setup, but a few preparations make it smoother:
On PC, default movement and interaction controls are typically WASD for movement and F (or equivalent) to interact; on controller, use the left stick for movement and the main interact button (often ▢ / X) for prompts. The exact button labels will appear on screen for your layout.
After finishing Sand Valley, follow the main story marker southeast. The path naturally leads you into the ruined village of Dalmally, now buried in sand. Once you cross into the village area, a short sequence plays establishing that the region has turned into a desert.
Shortly after entering, you’ll hear a cry for help. Track this sound/marker toward the highlighted area just inside the village. You’ll find a man, Banner, under attack by monsters.
Clear the monsters, then speak to Banner. He explains:
This conversation formally starts the keepsake search objective and marks a large circular quest zone on your minimap.
The keepsakes do not appear as map icons until you are close. You need to comb the quest circle and look for the small quest interaction icon when you approach the correct spots. All three are partially buried in sand near ruined houses or bodies.
Move toward the northeast edge of the marked quest area. You are looking for a mostly collapsed house with a pile of sand and debris beside it.
Walk around that rubble slowly. When you’re close enough, a small quest icon appears over the sand. Interact with it to uncover the first victim’s keepsake.
Frequent issue: It’s easy to run past this if you sprint the perimeter. Slow down and scan visually for faint glints or the interaction prompt as you circle the building.
Next, head to the northwest side of the same quest circle. Here you’ll find another ruined house with bodies partly buried under sand nearby.

Interact at the prompt to recover the second keepsake. The camera usually focuses briefly on the area, confirming you’ve picked up the right item.
The third keepsake is the easiest to miss if you expect it to be near a building. Instead, move to the center of the marked quest area, not far from where you likely started searching.
Interact to obtain the third keepsake. At this point, the objective updates and the minimap marker shifts toward the southern part of Dalmally, where the cart event will occur.
If your quest log still shows missing keepsakes, open the map, re-center on the Dalmally circle, and recheck each sector (NE, NW, and center). The triggers are close to the described landmarks; you do not need to leave the marked area.
Follow the new quest marker to the southern edge of Dalmally. You will automatically trigger a cutscene showing villagers being forced onto a cart by Liones Soldiers. Golgius appears here, along with a mysterious man in a black outfit who chooses to ride with the villagers.
Important clarifications:
After the cutscene, you’re dropped into combat with the soldiers.
Once all four are defeated, the quest marker updates to a new location in the middle of the desert, representing where the cart has stopped.
Head to the desert cart marker. You’ll find more Liones Soldiers guarding the villagers, but Golgius has already departed. Clear these soldiers as you did the first group.

After the fight, walk up to each villager and interact to free them from their bindings. You need to untie every villager before the quest will proceed. If the marker doesn’t advance, walk a full loop around the cart and look for any remaining interaction prompts.
Once all villagers are free, the quest directs you to the nearby Oasis Village. It’s a short walk and clearly marked by the main quest icon.
As you approach the village entrance, Banner is waiting. Talk to him to hand over the three keepsakes you collected earlier. This completes the Dalmally keepsake sub-objective and transitions the act into its medical and mount-related phase.
After speaking with Banner, the next objective is to meet Dr. Sennet, daughter of Dr. Dana. She is not on the ground level.
Talk to her. She explains that Dr. Dana is away and she is handling the villagers’ heatstroke issues alone. To help her treat everyone, she asks you to collect Fire Essence.
The game now marks an area to the northeast of Oasis Village where Flame Spirits spawn. You need to defeat them to gather Fire Essence.
Exit Oasis Village and head northeast toward the new quest marker. You’ll encounter around three groups of Flame Spirits in the designated area.
Key mechanics of this step:
Combat tips for Flame Spirits:
After defeating each group, verify that your quest counter increments by one. If you rush off too quickly, ensure you see the on-screen pickup confirmation or check your quest tracker to confirm it registered.
Once all three Fire Essences are obtained, return to Oasis Village and talk to Dr. Sennet on the roof again to hand them over.

After you deliver the Fire Essences, a cutscene plays where Howzer decides to travel to Vanya to fetch Dr. Dana. As thanks for your help, Dr. Sennet gives you Tyrant Dragon meat.
This special meat is the key to upgrading Hawk into his improved mount form. The game now instructs you to mount Hawk and feed him the meat using his skill interface. This is where many players stall if another pet is currently set as their active mount.
If you already ride Hawk by default, you can skip to the next subsection. If not, you must change your riding slot back to Hawk.
The quest will not progress if a different creature is equipped as the active mount, even if you technically own Hawk.
Close the menus and return to normal gameplay in an open area where mounting is allowed. Use your usual mount button (for example, a hotkey on PC or a d-pad/face button on controller) to call and ride Hawk.
Ensure that the on-screen model is clearly Hawk, not another pet. Once mounted, the quest should update to prompt you to use Hawk’s skill.
While riding Hawk, you’ll see a dedicated skill button in your ability bar. Press this button to open Hawk’s special interface, called Eat Scraps.
After Hawk consumes the Tyrant Dragon meat, a short animation and confirmation indicate that Hawk has transformed into his upgraded mount form. At this point, Act 7 is complete and the story proceeds to the next chapter.
Act 7 is linear but has several common sticking points. The list below addresses them directly:
For a fast, error-free clear, you can treat Act 7 as a short checklist:
Clearing Act 7 efficiently sets you up with a better Hawk mount, which improves traversal for later acts and side content. With the keepsake locations, combat beats, and mount upgrade steps laid out clearly, you can treat this chapter as a focused, linear segment before the game opens up again in subsequent story content.
