Top 5 Black Friday Gaming Deals: What To Look Out for This Weekend

It’s here. Black Friday is finally upon us!

And, of course, Cyber Monday, but it just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

The US shopping trend that has become a phenomenon in Britain, Black Friday 2018 promises some bumper deals on your favourite gaming gear, titles and more.

At FinalBoss we’ve covered and reviewed more than a few different examples of gaming gold this year, and now with the sales upon us, we reckon it’s time you picked them up – if you haven’t already. To help you get the most for your money on some true gaming gems, we’ve scouted out the best Black Friday 2018 gaming bargains there are, based only on products we know you’re going to love:

Black Friday Gaming Deal #1: The Xbox One X

xbox-one-s next-to-xbox-one-x

We reviewed the Xbox One X when it was released earlier this year, and it is safe to say we were impressed with what we got. The console still controls the market when it comes to its incredible hardware capabilities and pure gaming magic. The only issue with Xbox One X is that it comes with a brutally steep price tag.

However, in the Black Friday sales, this console is available for £379.99. That is still a hefty sum, sure, but it also includes a copy of Battlefield V to get you started. If you’ve been dreaming of experiencing the ultimate in console gaming, then now is the time to act!

Black Friday Gaming Deal #2: The PS4 Pro & PSVR

Don’t let it be known that we at are biased. We appreciate all quality gaming experiences, regardless of who brings them to us. That’s why we can’t help but recommend the PS4 Pro and its VR hardware as well.

While it may not have the kick of the Xbox One X, its gaming capabilities are still pretty damn striking, plus Sony currently holds court when it comes to the variety of amazing games on offer. PSVR gaming is also something nobody should scoff at. With some jaw-dropping titles available, it really is more than just a gimmick.

You can grab the PS4 Pro for £359.99 in the Black Friday sales. That includes a mountain of extras (Spider-man + Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Special Edition + Now TV)

If VR is more your style, you can get the headset for £179.99 from Argos. Either to go alongside your current console or your new PS4 Pro.

Black Friday Gaming Deal #3: Xbox One S

So both the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro command a high price tag, even in the Black Friday sales. But, that doesn’t mean you are without hope of bagging an excellent console at an affordable price.

The Xbox One S is an excellent and cheaper alternative to the more expensive units out there. It offers 4K and HDR upscaling, which is perfect for gamers looking to get the full visual impact of console gaming.

Available for a shockingly low price of £179.99*, you can pick up the Xbox One S with a bunch of additional inclusions (Battlefield V + Spyro Trilogy Reignited + Fallout 76) from Currys in the Black Friday sales.

*Deal goes live at 9:30pm Thursday 22nd. Price before this time is probably going to be higher.

Black Friday Gaming Deal #4: Marvel’s Spider-Man

Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of the highest scoring games we’ve ever reviewed on FinalBoss. It’s a triumph of gaming and a return to form for the beloved web-slinging franchise on consoles. This game was so highly anticipated that many people bought a PS4 simply because they had to play it; and they weren’t disappointed.

Available for £28.99 in the Black Friday sales, if you missed Marvel’s Spider-Man, now is the time to jump on board. You will not regret this one.

Black Friday Gaming Deal #5: God of War (2018)

So we reviewed Marvel’s Spider-Man pretty highly. However, our top-rated game of the year, hitting a near-perfect score of 9.5 out of 10, was 2018’s God of War. An unbelievable title, packed with exciting gameplay mechanics and a gripping story, we absolutely loved this game. Red Dead Redemption 2 might be set to win all the best game of the year awards, but we’d give it to God of War 2018 is a heartbeat.

On sale this Black Friday for just £19.99, there is no excuse not to play it. Unless you don’t have a PS4, of course…
