That creates a narrow 16-day gap before Digital Eclipse releases Toy Story 3: Complete Edition on October 15 for Xbox Series X|S, alongside PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC. Complete Edition is the modern replacement: it retains the original game’s features while adding updated graphics and new features. The associated remaster package has been described with 4K/60fps support, save and rewind functions, bonus material, and behind-the-scenes videos, although the complete feature breakdown for the Toy Story 3 release has not been fully specified.

The buying decision is therefore straightforward. Purchase the original before September 29 if preserving the Xbox 360 version matters, or if the $9.99 price is the priority. Waiting means paying more for the updated release, but it avoids buying a legacy version immediately before its replacement. Complete Edition has been listed between $20 and $24.99 depending on the storefront report; at $24.99, the original represents a $15 lower upfront cost.

This is a purchase cutoff rather than a shutdown. Players who bought the original before delisting can continue to download and play it afterward.
