Seventy-five minutes of Direct programming across two days is the confirmed core schedule; the longer practical commitment comes on September 9, when Nintendo Treehouse: Live is set to continue for roughly 110 minutes after the general presentation. The separation matters: September 8 is explicitly dedicated to The Legend of Zelda, while the following day is a broader Nintendo software showcase.

When to watch

• Tuesday, September 8: The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, approximately 30 minutes.
• Wednesday, September 9: Nintendo Direct, approximately 45 minutes, followed by Nintendo Treehouse: Live.
• Americas: 7:00 a.m. PT, 8:00 a.m. MT, 9:00 a.m. CT, 10:00 a.m. ET on both days.
• UK and Europe: 3:00 p.m. BST, 4:00 p.m. CEST, and 5:00 p.m. EEST on both days.

Nintendo has confirmed the dates, start times, and approximate runtimes, but has not outlined software for either broadcast. That makes the anniversary branding the clearest guide to September 8: a Zelda retrospective, trailer package, or other commemoration is within the event’s stated scope. The September 9 Direct should be treated separately as the place for Nintendo’s wider Switch and Switch 2 slate.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the title to track most closely. An update on a Switch 2 remake, remaster, or port would answer the format and platform questions currently surrounding the game. A release date, price, preorder listing, gameplay features, and even confirmation that such a project exists remain unannounced. The anniversary stream’s 30-minute limit also leaves little room for assuming a full slate of game reveals.

Use September 8 for Zelda-specific confirmations and September 9 for any additional Switch 2 context; record exact wording on platforms, dates, and editions rather than treating anniversary speculation as an announcement.
