Welcome to the TV and movie edition of our weekly round-ups. In this FinalBoss feature, we’ll bring you bitesize chunks of the latest news from the movie and TV worlds. It’s been a quiet week in entertainment but we have news of Mulan, a new trailer for The Boys, a few casting announcements and our regular look at the UK box office.
The TV & Movie News This Week!
Mulan
After six months of COVID related postponements, Disney has got tired of the endless delays and made a decision on Mulan. In the US, Canada and other countries where cinemas are yet to open it will be streamed on Disney+ from September 4. But it won’t be covered by your subscription, viewers will be charged $29.99 for the pleasure. In some countries where cinemas are operating Mulan will still get a cinema release, but it’s unclear what that means for the UK release at this stage (stayed tuned to FinalBoss for confirmation).
The Boys Season 2
Here at FinalBoss, we’re big fans of Amazon Prime series The Boys (check out our season 2 preview!), and with a month to go before the S2 premiere a new trailer has been released. It’s certainly action-packed and it looks like new ‘hero’ Stormfront is going to have a big role.
Jurassic World: Dominion
One of the most interesting aspects of Jurassic World: Dominion will be how original characters Alan Grant and Ellie Satler come back into the fold. Sam Neill has given us the important news, it may be nearly 30 years later, but Dr Grant’s hat is still going strong…
