You can burn an hour in Windrose doing the same doomed thing: spotting a big island, deciding it must be Tortuga, scraping your ship along a barrier, and realizing you still have no idea where the dock is. Here is the part most first attempts miss: shared coordinates and other players’ map screenshots are useless to you. Windrose generates its world per save, so Tortuga sits in a different place in every playthrough. The reliable way to find it is to let the game mark it for you.
How My Sea Adventure Began ends by telling you to head to the Tortuga market, and that final objective drops a large marker on Tortuga’s exact spot.The island is not the problem. The procedural world is. A lot of games let you solve location puzzles by copying coordinates or following a fixed route from a guide. One caution: not every faction contact necessarily lives inside Tortuga. If you arrive and cannot find a specific buyer or quest NPC, that is usually a progression issue, not proof you found the wrong island.
