Which is The Best House in Hogwarts Legacy?

Are you a Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin and does it even matter? But which Hogwarts Legacy house is the best for optimal gameplay?

Embarking on a journey through the enchanting halls of the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is an experience that awaits all eager players of Hogwarts Legacy, with a crucial part of the journey being the Hogwarts Legacy house selection.

As the game grants you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the magical world created by Portkey Games, one of the decisions you’ll face is selecting the best house in Hogwarts Legacy that will become your home within the hallowed walls. But which house is the best house?

Hogwarts Legacy :The Sorting Hat Ceremony

Once your faithful mentor Professor Fig takes you to Hogwarts, one of the first things you’ll encounter is the Sorting Hat Ceremony. In true Potter style, you will don that hat and select a few features that will provide you with the option to choose your house. Why do we say choose? Well, because the option of being a part of Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin is not imposed on you, the final choice is yours and yours alone.

If you don’t feel like being part of the ceremony, you are always free to link the game to your Wizarding World account where you can take a quiz to determine your home.

Choosing the Best House in Hogwarts Legacy for Optimal Gameplay

Let’s not beat around the bush, Hufflepuff is hands down the way to go. Yup, you heard it correctly. If you’ve got what it takes to appreciate hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play, then you’re in for a treat with one of the best quests tailored specifically for your house.

Those who choose Hufflepuff are the only ones who will have the opportunity to visit Azkaban, the notorious prison hosting the most vile witches and wizards. Or so we thought!

This time, someone was falsely sentenced to Azkaban, and it’s your job to help them clear their name through the Prisoner of Love quest. You will have a chance to encounter Dementors and solve puzzles, and it’s also the only quest where you’ll see someone casting the Expecto Patronum charm (as that one is not available to learn in game. Yet.)

The sad part is that almost no one wants to be a Hufflepuff! According to some stats taken from Steam, only around 13% of people choose to play as Cedric Diggory’s housemates. Bummer. Maybe you’ll reconsider now that you know this little bit of trivia.

Differences between Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Slytherin and Hufflepuff

Besides that one quest that spices things up for each house, it’s all a big ol’ pot of wizarding stew. No matter which Hogwarts clique you roll with, the game’s grand finale will be the same for all players out there.

There are only a few minor differences that some might find relevant, so let’s get that out of the way.

For those who aren’t that familiar with the houses founded by Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff and Salazar Slytherin, know that they represent the four classical elements:

Fire – Gryffindor

Air – Ravenclaw

Earth – Hufflepuff

Water – Slytherin

So to keep things in harmony, the houses sport their respective colors too. When you make your choice, your common room and some clothing options will embody the hue that represents your chosen house.

Along with the colors, there might be a slight variation in the dialogue along your path, but nothing that would drastically change the outcome of quests.

And lastly, your dormitory and common room. This feature is the only one you might want to think about when choosing your house, as the location of each house is different. Once you make your choice, you won’t have access to your opposing house’s quarters. Whether you choose Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw, your Hogwarts Legacy house selection will certainly shape your gaming experience.

Here are the locations of each house:

Gryffindor – Gryffindor Tower in the South Wing

Slytherin – Dungeon below the Grand Staircase

Hufflepuff – Ravenclaw Tower connected to the Grand Staircase

Ravenclaw -Next to the Great Hall kitchen

Conclusion: Choosing Among the Best Houses in Hogwarts Legacy

Are you driven by ambition like a Slytherin, filled with courage like a Gryffindor, blessed with intelligence like a Ravenclaw, or known for unwavering loyalty like a Hufflepuff? Well, when it comes to choosing your house, you can go with whatever feature tickles your fancy. Maybe aesthetics play a role, and you’ll base your decision on the colors. Heck, you might even choose based on your zodiac sign!

You know what they say: in the end, it’s all up to you, and there’s no single right answer. But, that’s a lie. The correct answer is Hufflepuff.
